Thanks, makes perfect sense and it is a great tool to keep parents and teachers working together.

Why are there 2 sections of to dinner and to bed on the behavior chart? I am wanting to use this with a child and their family, but not sure what to tell the family about the 2 sections that are the same on theirs.

It allows for 2 different goals to be tracked during the after-school time period. The assumption with this chart is that teachers will have their own tracking system in school and will simply be reporting (on this chart) how they did with the goals overall in am/pm. At home, I have given space to actually write in progress 2x on 2 different goals per day. If there is only one goal, you can cross out one of the sections and just adjust the required # of stickers to earn the reward. Does this make sense? Please let me know if not and I'd be happy to clarify further!

Wondering why you chose PowerPoint to make something I would assume is to be printed?

Because PowerPoint allows for easier manipulation of the text boxes and movement of items for a better fit. It prints out very nicely, I use it regularly for most things I create. Have you had a problem with printing from PowerPoint?

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I spent 9 years as a special education teacher within public school districts teaching learning support in elementary school, middle school, and vocational high school. After having my own children, I decided to work as a Behavior Specialist Consultant, specializing in working with children under the age of 10, many on the autistic spectrum. I have experience with a wide variety of special needs in both learning support and emotional support. In addition, all of my materials were created and used within a regular education setting and are therefore approachable and allow for differentiation.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am structured, consistent, organized and flexible to students' individual needs

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

In 1999 I earned a BS in Special Education from Penn State University. In 2002 I earned a M.Ed in Special Education from Penn State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I have 2 young children and am interested in moving my professional path into more supervision, guidance and resource support. I would be more than happy to create individualized materials for your students with special needs (especially students in the inclusion setting) as well as materials to assist you in your data collection and assist in behavioral interventions and support.
