I have served in many leadership roles. At the district level, I served as the chairperson for the first grade teachers in the district. I also served for several years as the Chair of the Dual Language Program. I’ve presenting at the annual convention of the WI chapter of CABE and the Institute for Culture and Learning in Oshkosh. My present position as Bilingual Resource Teacher has allowed me to be a mentor for many of our newer educators. In this position, I model best practice lessons in the classrooms. I help teachers develop thematic units that allow them to educate using content-based methods. Much of the work I do in their classrooms involve bridging the students knowledge and vocabulary from one language to another.
