Thanks for taking time to comment-I always appreciate feedback! I usually use this activity as a summative assessment after we have taken notes on market structures, discussed market structures, and completed a graphic organizer on market structures. I like to use this to move kids up Bloom's Taxonomy and have them apply what they have learned. You are correct, it could be adapted to be a formative assessment so that kids actually learn what an economic monopoly is by playing the game.
