I am sorry, I think the price should be way lower for this resource. It is a good concept, but I think it looks poorly executed and rushed in development. Maybe some original artwork...I also could not access it as easy as my other purchases.

I would not show it to 8th grade Spanish 2 students. Cautiva is more appropriate for juniors or seniors in high school. For 8th grade students, I would recommend Goal! The Impossible Dream, La Misma Luna, and Viva Cuba.

Depends on your goal. How many movies do you want to show? If you only want to show one movie, then La Misma Luna is fantastic! There are so many various activities and a lot of great cultural information included in this packet. If you plan to show multiple movies, then the packet for multiple movies would be great, too. However, we highly recommend them both. :o)

I am not sure. Generally you want to save a copy (or picture) in a pdf because if you try to put it in a document it generally messes up the formatting. I would try re-downloading the file from TPT (which you can do for free) to see if it will then allow you to save it as something different. I would also try the support on TPT, they generally know how to open every file in every program. There are some activities that would work for level one. I use most of the activities from the packet with level 2 kids. However, the immigration quiz, the information about citizenship, the opinion survey, etc. are all in English. The vocabulary is in Spanish/English, all Spanish and all English so it can be used in all levels. I hope that helps you with your decision whether to buy. This movie is such as great film. I hope your students enjoy watching it!

Hola! I just purchase your speaking game, "El Gato". It seems like it will be fun. I am just trying to make sense of it. I'm just curious as to why you have both students mark their boards, when just one student answers correctly? Is this simply to encourage cooperative learning? Hello, Jennifer! Thank you for your purchase! El Gato is similar to Tic Tac Toe. If student X answers correctly for #5, both students place an X in the #5 box. Now student X owns that box. Then, student O chooses to try to answer a different question such as #3. If student O answers number 3 correctly, both students put an O there, and student O owns that box. We show it at our public high schools, but it depends on the culture of your school. Are you allowed to show movies? As with any movie, I recommend previewing the movie before and then decide if it teaches the content you want your students to learn. It is a sweet movie with excellent examples of Cuban culture and language.

There are free instructions in our store in Spanish and in English. There are also tips on how to use the Power Point in the notes of the Power Point. The questions are all linked with hyperlinks that will always take you back to the main game board as long as you are in show mode. Yes, there are double and final Jeopardy. We have the first student in each row keep score, no auto scoring. The game was made with Powerpoint 2003 on a PC, so not sure if it is Mac compatible.
