The program runs a pretty similar plan for each letter group each week so it is pretty easy to pick up. I came up with these activities just to add to the practice for my students :)

**I revised the file and put all the journals in a PDF so that the graphics wouldn't shift. Most of this seemed to be happening when the font I used was not recognized with a program. Hope this was helpful--please let me know if it worked out any better for you :) **

I'm not familiar with "presentation station", but I think that if you purchase these lessons that you can copy and paste many of the items. I'm just not too sure how that animation will work with your system.

I just purchased the Everyday Math Unit 3 sets. I was looking at 3.3 and there is a number writing book. Do you have this by chance or know where I could get it? It looks like Handwriting without Tears which is what my District uses, but I've never seen that sheet.

We too use HWT....I typically use the number practice page that is at the end of the HWT workbook. It has numbers 1-10 to trace and then write on their own. It looks a little different on the SMARTboard lesson page--it was an older graphic. Let me know if you don't have to page in your workbook and I can always email one to you :)

I was planning on charging $30 for the 12 lesson set instead of $36--which would give you 2 lessons free. I just purchased your journals. They look great. I noticed that in Unit 1 on the number writing pages there is not a top line (blue) for the numbers. There is a bottom line (blue) middle line (red) but no top line. Should there be one? Also, there is an estimation problem (2.13)...it seems like there should be objects in the 'guess' jar ? I do not see any in the packet I downloaded. Is this right?

The reason for the lines looking like that for the number writing is because we use the Handwriting without Tears handwriting program and that is how they present writing lines to the children.
The 2.13 Estimation page has empty jars labeled "guess"and "check". I did not put any picture objects in those jars because for this activity I use a real jar in the classroom full of things that we pass around to do our estimating. I use the empty jars for them to write down their guesses first and then the actual number we found in the jar to see how close we were.

The previews are blurry because I had to get them from "print screen" and put them in a PDF because smart board will not show as a preview file. The actual files are very clear when downloaded. I am not sure if the files can be converted to other programs. I hope this has been somewhat helpful :)

Love the journals!!! Do you have all of the units for Kindergarten in journal format? Would you be willing to bundle them at a reduced price? I was just moved from teaching second and third grade for 13 years. This placement may only be for 1 year and I'm trying to be selective in the purchasing of materials. Thanks for the question. I have just posted all of the K EM journals on the site for sale as a bulk bundled item. If you buy the whole group of journals together you will pay $32 instead of the $40.

Hi - I really like your everyday math activities.
This might be a seriously DUMB question, but do I have to have a smartboard or a smartboard program to use this? I do have an LCD projector and my laptop, which I use to display things on the screen. Could I use this and just control with my mouse?

I think you need a smart board program to open the file. I can also send the program in word but it would not be interactive but you might still be able to move it with your mouse.
I also sell all my units either individually for $2 or as a 2 part unit bundle at $13 for each bundle. Each bundle contains 8 of the 16 lessons because they were too big to do all together. If you buy the unit as an entire bundle you end up saving money and getting 2 lessons for free.

Stacy-it's me again...Denise...anyway looking already for the fall and would like to purchase unit 1-1.9 and beyond as a bundle...do you have that yet? I will am purchasing unit 1 journal and unit 1-1.1-1.8. So excited! Love your work. Also just gave your name to our Math coordinator! Awesome work!

I love your EM journals. Would it be possible to do the EM Unit 1 journal with a different font for numbers? We use Handwriting Without Tears for our number writing. I have the font on my computer, but I am guessing you do not have it. Or... could the writing numbers pages be left blank where the number models are?

Thank you so much!! You have been so kind with your commments and I really appreciate them! I am currently working on Unit 8. I believe I have enough for the 1st bundle at least and I will post them later today. The 2nd bundle is a work in progress and hopefully they will be up by the end of next week--keep your fingers crossed :)
