I just downloaded and installed the exe file with no problems. Are you using a MAC computer? The software will only run on PC computers. Would you mind sharing which additional resource you purchased. I would be glad to assist you in installing the file if that would be helpful.
As far as a refund, I need to find out how that is handled by Teachers Pay Teacher. Any information that you could provide would be helpful.

I would definitely like to get more information about your problems and hopefully solve them for you. I assume that you have loaded the Categories software on both your computer at home and laptop at school. What version of Windows are you using? And do you have permission to read and write files to the hard drive?
