Although it's nice to have some scripted lessons for non-fiction, I was disappointed to find that there were no follow up homework or practice activities that came with this. The title is misleading when it states that there are "vocabulary word work" activities.

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. Any of the 12 activities in the pack could be used for homework or practice when it comes to reinforcing what the words mean. It would be difficult to use all of them in class during a week and the ones not used are for extra work. The fourth sample image also shows some word work that I use for homework each week.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama graduating from Ramsay High School in 1990, started college at Samford University, and graduated from UAB with a degree in Elementary Education in the Spring of 1996. In 1996, I started teaching at a small inner-city private school until 2000. From 2000-2007, I taught third, fifth, and was a reading and writing coach in a local inner-city school system. After our second child was born, I took 4 years off teaching before coming back to teaching in 2011. Currently, I teach 3rd grade in a suburban school system in the area. I got married in 2000, and now have three children, three cats, and two hermit crabs.
