villageteacher re: GAME: Creative Sentence Variety Stems
I am a little confused. So, you teach these types of sentence beginnings to the kiddos. Once they know them, you take them outside and break them into groups (arcs?) and they try to reach the eraser first and say a sentence of either their choosing or mine? The part that is confusing me is the Arcs. I'm not sure what you mean by that?

I'd love it if you had detailed step by step directions included in your download instead of just sentence starters.
Thanks.

Do you have a sample of the syllabus? Also, some states require a certain collection of text be studied in a particular year (i.e. In NY, 11th grade must focus on American Lit); Is this syllabus designed in this way? I will be teaching the course in 12th grade and there are no requirements for my design other than that it adheres to AP objectives.

I don't have a sample posted unfortunately. And no, we don't have a requirement for a certain collection of texts.

Isn't your "Gerunds" section really participial phrases? Gerunds are the ones the are in positions of a subject, DO, IO, etc. Participial phrases are the adjectives and contain the comma.

Hello,
I downloaded your Inherit the Wind Socratic Seminar questions and I would love to download the Socratic Seminar Score Sheet, but I'm unable to. Would you mind emailing it to me at kellb83@comcast.net? Thank you so much!

I, too, would like to know what texts you use within your course before purchasing. Very interested and struggling, as first time teaching AP Lang. & Comp. & textbooks ordered haven't come in yet. Thanks much! Arlene

Hi, Steven,

This is my first year teaching AP Language and Composition. I am seeking more substantial direction, and I am very interested in your course. Before purchasing, I have two question.

First, what novels and basic readings do you cover in the course.

Second, how much of your course can I submit to Collegeboard? Are you still using this course, or would it require significant tweaking?

Thanks,

Sarah

Hi there: I only posted the score sheet, but I don't have any control about how the download link works. Maybe you should notivy the site itself, as I have no more control over it than you do.
