Thank you for the meaningful feedback. I too like this unit and I think it's one of my better ones but oddly, it hasn't been a good seller! The one that seems to be the most popular is Jack and the Beanstalk! But "Jack" was done before Common Core Standards were fully implemented so it doesn't have them included. Go figure! Maybe I should fix that :) Be sure to pick up the If You Give a Mouse Freebie too! It's probably too simple for 1st but it might come in handy at the beginning of the year.

I love it - Thanks. I work for the catholic school board - really great. A++++ I would recommend correcting the word "bible" to Bible? Also, I would love it if you could add one to show it as "priest" as an option to "minister". Lastly, a different option of font with a little less fancy letters (sometimes challenging for my kinders who are learning letters at this time with straight "Ts" and longer lines on "b" and "h" for example.

Thank you for your meaningful feedback! I do appreciate your suggestions. The most difficult challenge in creating something like this is finding appropriate child-friendly clip art and fonts. I have received many requests for more items and Blessed Easter along with Christmas Nativity are 2 of my best sellers. The market is there but the raw materials are few!

Yes I would! I never miss a chance to communicate with other teachers. I have discovered there is a big market out there for private schools, churches, faith-based preschools and home schoolers! I have even gotten several requests for more materials. The challenge is finding cute child-friendly clip art! ...and then time to create with a busy schedule!! I do have several other guided writing activity books. There is one for Thanksgiving and one for winter. The one for winter is also a craftivity because it asks students to add something simple to the picture after writing. For example: a small piece of foil to make a pond and paper clips under the feet to form ice skates. This one is one of my favorites...kids too!
I have one for Martin Luther King. It's a little more detailed and tells the story of his life and work. It can also be a social studies lesson.
There is a book of colors that's very basic and works with pictures and 11 basic colors to develop sentence writing. For example: I see an apple. An apple is red. It's the first one I use to start my kinders writing in the fall.
Again, all my writing activities come with "prompts" that you can use for each page or if your students are more secure, they can create their own story. No need for a tired and busy teacher to "think" about what to write about and it's great for subs too! I love it cause it makes lesson planning quick!
I always provide a preview page for all my materials so you can see and get an idea what they look like.
I do have additional writing materials for other holidays and seasons but I just haven't had the time to transfer them all to computer lesson formats that I can upload. I have my fingers crossed that I will get them done but it's hard with so much going on during the school year...as you well know !

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have 32 years of public school teaching! I have worked in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, multi-age and reading intervention.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I look for ideas to use that don't require a lot of time and preparation. Today's teachers are busy and need "stuff" that doesn't take time away from family, friends and yes...fun! I like items that are timeless and will be useful for many years to come.

Served on committees for report card creation, textbook adoption and curriculum design. Worked with Intervention Assistance Team to help teachers and parents look for alternatives to help struggling students.

I hold a BS degree in Elementary Education and a MA degree in Reading from The Ohio State University. I have Ohio licenses for grades K-8 and reading K-12. I also have validation for curriculum/supervision.
