In the crossword puzzle there is a discrepancy between the spelling of "sóftbol" on the list and the number of blocks given with the clue for softball. Either add a block or correct the list to read "sófbol" to solve this. Otherwise, well done!

This is good practice for tener and reinforcement of family vocab. It's quite visually stimulating too! I will be using for Spanish I. It's pretty short though. I wish it was in MS word format so that I could easily edit and/or add to it. Nonetheless, it's very helpful. Thanks!

Just a couple of wee things that I noticed about your French days and months signs: August in French is spelled "août" and the months of the year normally begin with lower case letters, unlike English.

Just checked out your store, and signed up to follow you. Great stuff! How do you do it? How do you find the time to create and upload over 700 products? Very impressive! I taught French and Spanish at the high school level for 9 years and am now home with my two kids, but still manage some teaching out of my home for the little ones. I've spent a lot of time on my store and products, but can never seem to find enough time to get all the TpT things done that I want to.
Have you found that there are enough world language teachers on the site to buy your things and be successful? I'm doing okay, but feel like the elementary segment is so much bigger than high school language. What do you think? I'm looking forward to checking out more of your products. We language teachers have to stick together, right? :)

I do think, however, that with time, we'll see our TpT foreign language sales increase. TpT has gained a great deal of momentum within the past 6 months when Deanna Jump was in the media so much. As TpT continues to grow, I believe our sales will, too. There are still a lot of teachers who have never heard of TpT which I know from my own school district. How do I it? Little by little, I guess. I've always enjoyed creating classroom materials so I work on new products or revise old ones whenever I get a chance.

Hi! I believe so, but I'm not positive. I've downloaded Promethean files (ActivInspire is the software, I think) and have been able to use them on my SmartBoard. I did a quick internet search and the majority of posts on the blog said that Notebook files will work on Promethean boards. Hi - Do you have a Smart Board or other interactive whiteboard? It's actually Smart Notebook and is software used with Smart Boards. There is a version of the St. Patrick's Day Label the Leprechaun Body Parts for non-Smart Board use (paper copies) on TpT if you don't have an interactive whiteboard. It should show up next to the Smart Board version that you downloaded. If you do have an interactive whiteboard, your tech support should be able to determine if Notebook software is available in your building or district so you can get access to it. I hope this helps!

Several of the slides, I believe, are incorrect. The phrase "in front of" should just be "in front"; the word "of" would begin another prepositional phrase. For example, in the sentence "Jack ran in front of the bicycle", "in front" is one phrase, and "of the bicycle" is another prepositional phrase. The slides containing "far from", "close to", and "next to" are also incorrect. The word "far" in this case is an adverb. "Close" in the phrase "close to" is also used as an adverb. "Next" could be used as a preposition, but in the phrase "next to", it's an adverb because of the addition of the word "to". In "Jill stood next to the tree", the prepositional phrase is "to the tree".

Hi - Thank you for your comments! This very basic Power Point is meant to give very beginning students an introduction to some of the words often used when describing placement of nouns. The main reason I include "de" is because students have a tendency to never use it when they write sentences unless they see early on that "de" is often used with many prepositions. I certainly appreciate your very astute comments, but my intent is not to give an in depth analysis of grammatical structures which I believe would be over the heads of the intended audience. I have made a few minor modifications to the presentation to indicate that it includes prepositions and prepositional phrases, and have changed my TpT description slightly, as well. Hi! I think the best thing to do is order the bundles first and then compare what's in them to the thumbnails of individual items that interest you. I generally post the individual items first, and then eventually bundle several items. As a result, the descriptions of the individual items don't specify that they can also be purchased in a bundle. Hi ! As long as you have Notebook software on your computer, you should be able to open it just as you would any other downloaded file. I just tested the download and had no problem opening it. Do you have Notebook software installed on your computer? If you have a different type of interactive whiteboard software, you may still be able to open it but you may have to go through a few extra steps in order to do so. I'm sure you'll find that this year will much easier than last year and probably even fun. I teach children from kindergarten through 2nd grade for a couple weeks every summer and am exhausted when I'm done, but also amazed at what they absorb in such a short period of time. I use a lot of songs with actions when I teach the little ones which works great since they love to sing and move around. You may want to give this a try, if you aren't already. I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish, but have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school at various times in the past 15 years. Every summer I teach Spanish at the local community college to grades k - 3 for the "College for Kids" program and high school students for the Upward Bound program. I have also taught 7th grade World Cultures with a focus on Hmong, Japanese, Arab and Chinese cultures. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
