I just re-uploaded Spanish 1 Ch 4A and 4B. However, the files look correct on my end. Let me know if that didn't correct the problem. That is strange, because on my end they are 2 different files. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I love your power-points, thank you for making them. I buy them for the last slide - my kids call it matamoscas. I should learn to make that slide but.... :). My question is how do you present the grammar to the students, games,... etc. Thank you

I do a lot of relays. I also practice verb conjugations with shaving cream, letter beads, magnetic alphabet letters, etc. For example, I might call out "I talk" and the students would write "hablo" either in the shaving cream on their desk or using the letter beads on pipe cleaners or with the magnetic letters. I also try to incorporate culture when possible. For example, to practice comparisons, I developed a worksheet using 2 of Botero's paintings that they compare after having learned a little about Botero as well. I also do a lot of activities with current songs. Most of these song ideas I get from Pinterest. I will try to upload some of my grammar stuff soon. Hope this helps. ~C

Uh oh! I am SO sorry! I just updated some files, and I must have gotten mixed up at some point. :( I will definitely get you the correct powerpoint! I get back in the country after August 14th. I am so sorry about the chapter 3A. If you have the correct powerpoint by the end of the month, will that be soon enough? I don't have the powerpoints with me here. Again, I apologize for the confusion.

I uploaded the correct Powerpoint. Hope you got it! Thanks again for your understanding. :)

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

We began our teaching careers volunteering at public schools in Puebla, Mexico and Costa Rica. Upon returning to the United States, we began teaching high school Spanish. Our classes are made up of juniors and seniors. We also taught some continuing education classes to adults at a local community college.

MY TEACHING STYLE

We use a lot of music, movement, and mingle activities. We teach on the block schedule, so 90 minutes is a long time for teenagers to sit still. We try to have at least one activity per class that allows students to move. Games in class keep learning fun!
