I really loved this product. My students had a blast and I really think it hit home the concept of vector addition in practical terms. I have a couple suggestions that may make this project easier to manage: Use trundle wheels instead of meter sticks. Be sure to specify that students use only directions N, S, E, W, NW, NE, SW, SE...no degrees. For part 1, use a dry erase marker instead of tape to mark your starting and ending places (it wipes off the desks easily). It would be really helpful if you shared what directions you put on the popsicle sticks for your activity. I made up a bunch of different general directions and it worked just fine. All in all, this activity worked really well and was a lot of fun. Thank you so much.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been a teacher for 20 years. Most of this time has been spent teaching high school physics but for the last 5 years I have taught an integrated math/science core class to eighth grade students.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I teach a hands science class where students learn by doing. In my Algebra 1 class I like the students to understand what they learn and also practice. I try to make both math and science fun and enjoyable.
