MY TEACHING STYLE
I went to a small college at which student-student competition was discouraged (in fact, it was against the honor code and sharing/comparing grades could get you in a lot of trouble!), but competition with the self was intense and mandatory. Everyone tried as hard as they could and worked as hard as they could for nothing but the pure love of learning -- and this is the kind of behavior I hope to inspire in my students. I hope they'll be confident, strong learners who push themselves and don't always measure their worth against others.
