I have taught ten years in public schools. Two years in title one reading/reading recovery, six years in first grade, and two years in third grade. :) Now I get to stay home with my babies and teach them. I am excited to share some of my favorite things I used in the classroom,as well as some of the fun things I am making for my own kids.
I love to teach hands on lessons and assess to know where to take my kids next. I follow the state standards to drive my instruction, and love to come up with creative ways to inspire my kids to love learning.
Yet to be added
I have a certification in Reading recovery instruction and a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I have also taken several graduate courses in reading and language arts.
I like to be frugal and make my own things for my classroom. I don't usually buy the pre-made decorations, tags, labels, and such for around my room- but enjoy creating my own. I also like to create my own checklists, and assessments, and other documents. I hope you like what I've created and can use it in your room.
