TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, AP Literature and Composition, College Writing, and Creative Writing. I currently teach 12th grade English and serve as the school newspaper adviser.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach thematically by relating each unit, lesson, and activity to a theme for the year or semester. I strive to make each lesson relevant by connecting the material to student's lives. I am project oriented, which enables students of varying abilities and multiple intelligences to shine. I hold my students to a high standard emphasizing internal motivation and accountability. I try to always have a smile on my face, keep a positive attitude, and laugh whenever possible.
