I purchased your Smartboard lesson on cause and effect. I love the story and the illustrations are terrific!! However, I wish that you had pointed out more instances of cause and effect as that is what the lesson was supposed to primarily be about rather than inference. There were several more opportunities in the story to include more cause and effect interactives.

I have purchased and tried to download the files - the zip file comes through in my downloads but will not open up - I do have a program that opens zip files - it opens another zipped file which then downloads the same original file that does not open.

I purchased a Pilgrim smart board lesson for which you stated there was a power point presentation as well. I knew I couldn't use the smartboard lesson but was counting on the powerpoint and I can see I've made a mistake. Is the power point a separate purchase?

Hi! I think your unit looks fabulous! Just a few questions because I am a bit confused about the list words.
(1) The "final test words" in the "preview pages" are the same for unit 1 and unit 2.
(2) All the kids take the same pretest. 90% and up get "challenge study words" to be studied at home? Below 90% they get "test-study words" to be studied at home? For the final test you said they have their words plus 5 unknown words that follow the pattern and their own personal 5 high frequency words. Do both groups get the same 5 unknown words? Also, the list of "final test words" aren't words from either list?
(3) Does your unit include the weekly activities for each unit.

We (the other 6th grade teacher and the students) were trying to figure out where does it go. I said alliteration because of the s sound, my co worker said personification because of the word she, the students beleive it should be a simile. Which one is correct?
