I have been in Teaching for 34 years and have recently retired .Basically my experience has been with the Early Childhood grades. I have 40 years of experience and knowledge of the young child. I have taught at local colleges and the museum of arts and sciences.

I believe in a "hands on , center oriented classroom where learning by doing is the norm of the day. To be "childlike" is to develop skills that will last a lifetime. I believe that the most important skill that a child develops is learning to READ and then READING to learn.

Ed 1981 Teacher Support Specialist 2005 I have taught 3 years in Florida, 29 years in Georgia in public school primarily in the Kindergarten through 2nd grades. I also teach continuing education classes in art, calligraphy, and children's crafts.

I work with the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy in Putman Co, Ga. I am a storyteller,(Oral Certification Degree)and tell & read stories to the local schools . I work with the YES enrichment after school program with Ga College& Baldwin Co.
