TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught elementary school for over a decade with the majority of my experience in teaching 3rd grade in an urban setting with bilingual students. I speak some Spanish so I am better able to communicate with the parents of my students. I have also taught for one year each in 2nd and 4th and subbed K-5 as well as running an afterschool program and teaching preschool. Currently alongside teaching third grade I am a mentor to new teachers as well as a workshop presenter on topics including Reading Strategies, Math Interventions, Whole Brain Teaching. Classroom Management and Technology in the Classroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Silly and Encouraging! I can't or giving up is not an option in my classroom.
