My Teaching Experience

I have been teaching for almost 10 years, most of them spent teaching pre-K and kindergarten. I also have experience teaching up to 3rd grade. I have used my love of reading to develop a set of 30 phonics-based beginning reading books for use in preschool-first grade. In addition, I have developed sets of reading games and math games that can be used in the classroom or as take-home activities and can be adjusted to address various skill levels. They have proven to be a success in my own classroom and I can't wait to share them!

My Teaching Style

I like to use a variety of materials to teach to the wide range of interests and ability levels of the students who enter my classroom. I'm all about using fun and innovative methods to encourage learning!

Honors/Awards/Shining Teaching Moment

I love the "Ah-Ha" moment when a student first realizes that letter sounds merge to form words! I love to teach reading!
