I have butterflies in my stomach right now after reading about your son with selective mutism. I teach first grade in Texas (this will be my 14th year). I have two daughters, ten and seven. My seven year old, kaitlyn, has recently been diagnosed with selective mutism. It has been a long, hard struggle for me to find ways to help her. Up until kindergarten, I always thought she was extremely shy (she is going into second grade). She has progressed with her speech therapist this summer, but I am so nervous about her starting back at school. Any advice?

Positive Academic and Social Behavior (TpT Seller)
I am considering providing Clip Charts, with clothes pins to the teachers in my school (I'm the school psych there). I want to know how the record keeping works in real life. Do teachers record the final clothes pin every day for every child, or do they just do it for the high need students? I anticipate some "blow-back" from asking for extra paper work from teachers....
