Hi there,
Thank you for your question. I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly - all of the backgrounds are monocolor, as in no gradients etc. As there are 60 backgrounds, the colors cover the spectrum, with some of the polkadots white and some with a matching color. I hope this info helps.

Hi Anne!
I use Adobe Photoshop Elements - it is a slightly easier program to use. I like creating in Powerpoint because I find it much easier to move images around. I think it's important to use whatever program you feel most comfortable with.

Wendy,
You are so nice to take the time to answer my question. PNG is a higher quality image for clip art but JPEG for photos. Right? Believe it or not, in Word 2013 I can make a transparent background in a JPEG image.

Thanks again,
Anne

Hi Anne,

Yes, I believe that is correct for photos - my dear hubby would know more about that than me, as that would be his passion. I rarely use Word now for products as I enjoy creating in Powerpoint. I use Adobe Elements for clip art. Thank you for the info re the transparent background - that is very good to know!

Your products are neat! Everything you do is outstanding.

My question is, why do you use both JPG and PNG formats? I usually just use JPG because I'm a photographer. I understand what PNG format is but can't both formats be used in all the same way by creators?

Hi there!
Thank you for your question. I use PNG as many people prefer to have their images with a transparent background. With a PNG image, you can have both white and transparent backgrounds, whereas a JPEG can only be white. Most people prefer PNG as it gives them an element of choice. PNG is also a higher quality image, but does take up more file space. Hope that helps!

Update: I have changed the document to a PDF - I hope that helps a wee bit! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to give you an editable document as requested - I would have to copy and transfer each individual page!
Over the next few weeks, I will work on a PPT and leave it editable, but with Dolch words, split into grade levels. I realised that these particular high frequency words are not that popular! Hope the PDF helps for a while! :)

Hi Susan,
Is the zip file downloading ok? If so, just click and 'select all' and extract to your desktop. I will leave you my email address and if you prefer, I can send the file to you that way. I'm not too sure what the problem is or if I will be helping. Perhaps it is a technical issue that TPT might need to deal with. I will have a look on the forums to see if anyone else is having the same problem and see if there is a solution there. My email is: wendydotwilson@hotmail.com. Please feel free to contact me.

Also my apologies! I have just noticed the date of your question, but I had no notification of it or I would have responded immediately - I'm so sorry!

Hi Mary,
I am hoping to! I'm in the process of converting the cloud letters printables to clipart (request), but I have to admit the last couple of weeks has been crazy at school and I've been so tired, I haven't managed much for TpT. I'm hoping for a chance in the holidays...... I do have heart ones somewhere that I started to make, so I'll have a look and see what I can come up with. (I have a lovely reindeer packet that has no chance of getting finished - lol! I've given up on my Christmas stuff!) I just don't know where the time has gone! May I just ask is it printables you would like or clipart? The printables are quicker to knock up! The clipart takes a lot longer ( a slow process!), but please keep a look out as I am sure I will be back to creating when school is finally out! Thanks for asking!

Hi Elyse - you should download a free trial first and see if you like it. Some of the programs are so expensive! I was lucky in that I got Elements as part of another purchase. Many blogs offer advice too. I often 'google' if I want to know something and loads of videos are thrown up. Powerpoint is brilliant too! Many sellers make clip art on their ipads using Art Studio. It's a steep learning curve, but fun! :)

Hi there,
I will try and find some time this week. I have been meaning to offer them as clip art, but in the run up to Christmas, it's been so busy at school and the alphabets take ages to do - lol! I started with the snowflake one as clip art, but haven't got much further in converting the others from printables. I will try and do a bit each night and hopefully they will be ready by next weekend.

I just dowloaded your file and the only things in there when I unzipped it was the Safari Set 1 Editable.pptx and Safari Set 1.pdf along with the cover page and the Thank you page...nothing else was in the file that was listed. Is there an issue with the items not being in the file. Do you suggest I try downloading it again and see if more things show up? You had listed many more items that would be in the file, that is the only reason I am asking. :) Thanks so much! I really love what you did and hope we can figure it out! Thanks! :) Melissa

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your question. I have just looked at the description which says:
Safari Set 1 - 8 pages;
Safari Set 1 Editable - 8 pages.
Is there actually nothing in these files? Are you just getting an empty file? Yikes! There should be 8 pages in each file with a variety of labels! I will check it out and get back to you - just wanted to leave you a wee message first. Thank you so much for bringing to my attention. I had thought I had checked the download, as I usually do. My apologies and thank you for your patience!
Wendy :)

UPDATE: Hi Melissa - I have checked the file and everything is where it should be. I'm just wondering if perhaps you haven't opened it fully? As it's a zip file, you can't open the documents held within unless you 'extract' them. I would usually 'extract' to desktop - it's easy to find them that way. When you look on your desktop, you will see the files. When you click on them, the editable file will open in Powerpoint, so you can add text. The other will open in your PDF program, if you just want to print and not add text. I hope this addresses the issue you have been having. Please let me know if you need any further help.

Hi there,
Thank you for your question. I have checked the file and can see I have included an editable calendar (for the main calendar of the set). I presume you would like to edit one of the others, which is a very sensible point! I honestly don't know why that didn't occur to me! My apologies! I will get working on that today and upload the new file with the revised calendar sets. You will be sent an email that the set has been revised and will be able to re-download. Hi there,
Thanks for the question. I'm really sorry you're having some troubles. I'll have a look at the file and see if there's a problem. Once sorted I will reupload as a revised file so you can download it again. I can't imagine what the problem would be. It is created in Microsoft Powerpoint, so you should be able to just click on text box and change the text and font to suit your needs. However I will check and see if there is a problem with the download and file. Apologies again! I will sort it as soon as I can.

Update: I have downloaded the file and have opened it in Microsoft Powerpoint and I can click on the text boxes and edit them. I'm wondering if you have opened the file with another programme? If you could detail for me exactly what you're doing, I might be able to help. :)
