Absolutely marvelous. As a speech pathologist I spend a lot of time teaching antonyms and synonyms to build vocabulary skills. This thematic powerpoint is very well done and an excellent way to teach vocabulary in context. Would love to see more of this with a variety of themes.

I have purchased your multi-pack of test prep powerpoints because I am a Reading Teacher and I felt that they would come in handy for my intervention kids. I love them...BUT the 3rd grade and 5th grade PPTS both have problems when it comes time for the answers...sometimes the wrong answer is highlighted, sometimes everything is red except for the answer, sometimes only part of a question is colored in red and part from a different question...the way that they are now I can't use them with my kids and they are testing next week...is there a way that you could correct them?

To do this, right click on the PowerPoint icon on your desktop, select properties, and write down the version that you are using. No Excuses (TpT Seller)
Hello - I had rated one of your PowerPoints that I purchased today (I bought several today, love your work!!) Anyway, as I was driving home...I was thinking...did "we" misread the question? Scenario: I bought the baseball math to use today. The ARTS team was in charge of prepping classes and "running the show"...so I was in the room, but I admit did not read the question carefully. The drama and art teacher informed me that slide 85 was wrong. So without checking their work, I asked you to check slide 85. This has bothered me so much, that I am sending you this from my iPad, as I sit waiting for dinner in restaurant! I will also check slide 85. I recently purchased the Cause and Effect ppt. I thought that when I clicked on the correct cause/effect it would go to the "correct answer" screen, however no matter what I click, it goes to "stinky-incorrect answer" screen and then to the correct screen as I click through to the next example. I think that it may be a little too challenging for your second graders. The vocabulary is more for fourth and fifth. You might want to look at "Invading Synonyms and Antonyms". It is a little simpler and even more fun!!!

We totally understand your question. It actually is a metaphor because it compares the football to a rocket, but it could also be construed as a hyperbole. Many of the figurative language types overlap. Great question!!

In the Common and Proper Nouns powerpoint, the answers on slides 20-27 appear as soon as you advance to the slide. My students saw the answers as soon as the slide appeared, making this part of the review ineffective because the answer was revealed. Please fix!

It sounds like we've got a compatibility issue with whatever version of PowerPoint you're using. The PPTX is working properly on our end. I loved this PowerPoint. I used it with the class today. The only thing I would have liked to see is when it's quizzing the kids, the answer pop up on the PowerPoint. I apologize if I'm not supposed to post my thoughts, but I thought maybe you'd want to know and I didn't want to put it in the ratings.

MY TEACHING STYLE
Our students are digital natives with varying attention spans who are used to a fast paced technology driven environment where everything is instantaneous. Worksheets fail to provide engagement; whereas animated lessons with guided modeling can assist students to mastery. Powerpoints are designed by standard to engage, instruct, and provide intensive modeling for mastery.With thematic animations, a touch of humor, and kid friendly topics, students can be almost guaranteed to keep their eyes locked on the material.Every lesson is formatted with direct instruction, guided practice, and independent practice, where teachers can be provided with immediate feedback on which students are grasping the standard. Teachers are provided with test preparation built into almost every lesson. Perfect to use with whiteboards, SMARTboards, and Interwrite Pads, and CPS, so teachers can avoid the long lines in the copy room!
