11 years elementary Subbed two years (prior to credential) at ALL levels K -> 12, even honors science nearly every day. 20 years experience creating useful working software as a hobby (if you see any software uploaded).
Direct Instruction (a LOT of overheard), also many test questions geared for state standards often (multiple choice) to teach how to "rule out". Also, 2nd graders love thematic packets to work on during appropriate seasons & holidays. I realized that if I carefully constructed packets students (even lowest readers) could SKIM back and fill in the blank lines. They make for good science and social studies units.
My "shining moments" are daily when all my students are successful at units created by myself (thematic or otherwise).
Bachelors in Chemistry 4 years post graduate education (medical field) Of course, a teaching credential.
- Nominated for "best teacher" (But shouldn't we all be?) Not enough of a "lounge lizard" to bother chasing the actual award (too busy doing this!). - hobbies - my grandchildren, creating curriculum, computer programming, photography, whitewater kayaking, and enjoying grandchildren. - Many peers have suggested that I distribute my (vast amount) of my own brand of curriculum. - Thanks for looking me up.
