I only created the guides for kindergarten, first, and second since those are the levels I am most familiar with. How many grades does your school go up through? I may be willing to create some more guides if she would be buying multiple licenses for all the teachers at your school to use. I look forward to hearing from you again.

I am so sorry for my delay. I have recently moved to the Middle East and am having issues with the time and distance, trying to get adjusted. I have looked over the original document and I would need to remove a few of the clipart pictures due to copyright issues of having them in an editable format. There may be one font (possibly the title page) that is not a standard font. Other than that, you may have to readjust some of the pages as the formatting will be off. If this suits your needs please provide me with your e-mail and I will send you a Word document. Please pick another product of mine and I will send you that as well for my delayed response.

There shouldn't be any tricks. I tried it on 4 other computers before posting to make sure the sound was working. The sound is set to start automatically when you advance slides. Are you using Microsoft Office 2010? If it still isn't working I would be happy to resend you the powerpoint and the file with the sounds if you provide me with your e-mail. That way you can try relinking the sounds in the powerpoint to see if that helps.

When I was teaching first grade I had a stuffed turtle that would help us read. He read the words very slowly using "turtle talk." Picture how a turtle in a cartoon would talk.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught first grade for 4 1/2 years (I was a mid-year hire) at a low-socioeconomic school. I then earned my gifted endorsement and taught a combination 4th and 5th grade gifted class in language arts and math. Now I am teaching first grade to second language learners in the United Arab Emirates.
MY TEACHING STYLE
Every year I am growing and changing, adapting to the needs of my class. I use a variety of approaches and try to differentiate as much as possible. I teach my math using a rotation schedule meeting with a high, medium, and low group daily and I supplement my reading basal with an additional readers' workshop. I have also implemented self-paced spelling which is still a project in the works.
