I purchased this set from you and was enjoying using it until I figured out that some shapes do not correlate. What is a piece of pie? Was it supposed to be a pyramid? If so it doesn't work for it doesn't meet at one point. Was a driedel supposed to be a rectangular prism--I can figure these out, so can you help me please? I love the idea of putting them on a calendar but am confused about some shapes. Please help enlighten me.

Any nonfiction book about Eagles will work! The ones listed were just suggestions. The websites I listed, as well, have great articles, and many of them are written for kids. I did this project with my 3rd graders last year and had them do a cooperative learning Jigsaw activity to read the articles. They were able to help each other and gather great information! I have a Jigsaw freebie in my store if you want to check it out! Good luck!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this because it's not specific as to what it's for. But 50 minutes it too much for my firsties. Would it be alot of trouble to make it go to 20 minutes? Or I can if you could email me the doc version. I have the font (howser I'm assuming) and I can add my own background. Just LOVE how simple it is! I can laminate it and use it over and over for different content areas!

Hi Susan, thanks for the note! This product definitely aligns with Common Core. 2.OA.1 has to do with story problems. When you use this product, you would supply your own story problems from your math curriculum, and use these sheets as a way to teach students the steps to take in order to solve. I hope that answers your question!
