Try it out, it might work for you. It could also be adapted for RAPS. Those letters would fit in the boxes perfectly too! I just think that it is important to try to differentiate for all students. You never know what is going to stick for some, so we have to keep trying new things:) Have a great week!

I use this to teach students HOW to respond to extended answer questions, such as those found on standardized tests. I want the students to fully explain their answers so I use a four point method to score their responses. They get 1 point for the answer clearly stated, one point for the proof being included (e.g. quotes, page numbers, paraphrasing), 1 point for the explanation of how they reached the answer, and another point for making a connection (text to text , text to self, text to world). I use a similar method for teaching students how to answer open response questions in mathematics (such as extended problem solving). Hope this helps!

What do you use for illustrations? Look into "After Effects" I know with a teacher ID you can get a ridiculous discount on it. Or even Photoshop. There are lots of free videos you can watch on Youtube and learn how to create your own illustrations :-)
