The cookie experiment is a way for the students to understand the concept of erosion. You have students experiment with normal cookie (I used chips ahoy) and then you will add water and time it and see the effects of water. You will increase time an see what happens. The kids Iove this experiment!!! Hope this clarifies things.

The jobs included on the jobs chart are:
Teacher Assistant: assists the teachers with any tasks that need to be completed
Librarian: in charge of keeping the classroom library and book boxes clean and put away
Paper Passer: in charge of passing out any papers
Cleaning Crew: in charge of making sure there is no trash on the floor near trash cans, picking up scraps, etc. (2 people)
Lunch Basket: in charge of taking the lunch basket down to the lunchroom (2 people)
Supply Helper: in charge of making sure that all supply baskets are full and that pencils are sharpened
Delivery person: in charge of delivering any special notes throughout the school
Substitute: in charge of taking the place of any other job holder that might be absent or unavailable
Line Leader: in charge of leading our line quietly and setting a good example
Door Holder: in charge of holding open the doors for our class

I have done both, and the lines still print instead of words. It would not be that big of a deal, as it didn't seem to do it on most of the important things and was just mainly on the descriptions of items, but it did do it on the numbers, which was the main reason why I bought the pack :) Let me know if you find the out the answer! When I downloaded the packet, there were random black lines where there was suppose to be words. I remember this happening in the past on some other things that I downloaded from other people. I think it's because I am using a MAC but I can't remember how they told me to fix it. Do you know?

I know that when I had this problem, it only appeared on the screen but it printed normally. I will ask my friend who uses a Mac if she knows how to solve this problem! I am so sorry for the confusion! I've had a few custom orders for different color schemes and I wrote the description wrong for this one. This alphabet line has a black and white polka dot border on the consonants. The vowel cards have a red and white polka dot border. So sorry again for the confusion and thanks for the heads up! :-)

I just bought the Hollywood alphabet line and I love it. However, there is a problem. The vowels are all the short vowel sounds, except the i sound. The i card has a picture of an ice cream cone and that is the long vowel sound. I need the short vowel sound like in igloo, icky, itch. Could you please make one card for me that has the short vowel sound for I?? I want to use this in my room this year, but I need your help to make it possible. Thanks so much!!

I see in your example, two types of ABC lines. One the 1-z alphabet line does it have pictures like the m- monkey one one the example or is it just the capital and lowercase letters like it also shows on the example?

Hi Miss B, I'm not sure if I understand your question, but I'll do my best to answer it! :-) Each letter has a polka dot border with a manuscript upper/lower case letter for each letter of the alphabet. Each letter also has a corresponding clip art image. I hope this clears up any confusion! If not, let me know! Thanks! :-)

So sorry I am responding so late, I was out of town this past week. The word wall words included in this pack are a combination of Fry words and sight words that our first grade team has broken down into weekly phonetic lessons to introduce the words. A Boggle board is very similar to the popular boardgame, but it's played on a classroom bulletin board, wall space, or white board. You manipulate and move around letters on a grid and your students have to make as many words using those letters as they can. The resource for this game included in my packet are the title "Boggle" and each of the letters of the alphabet that you will need to create your board.
