mmarquis23 re: Novel Literature Unit Study and Lapbook: Bud Not Buddy Literature
Hello Teresa,
I purchased your Novel Unit Literature Study: Bud, Not Buddy. I have found several grammatical and mechanical errors in the unit which I want to bring to your attention. Examples include: 1) p.10, "Have the student use the book they are studying...." "student" (singular) vs. "they" (plural). This error occurs throughout the unit; 2) p.14, "After loosing a tooth... (should be: "losing" a tooth); 3) p.23, "Shotguns are to _____ to be lying around..., (should be: "too"___); 4) "Play Doe" should be Play-Dohâ„¢ or playdough; 5) p.43, When your train hopping (should be: When "you're" train hopping). This was just a quick perusal of the unit, Teresa. Unfortunately, the unit contains even more errors, along with awkward phrasing of questions and instructions for students. Your ideas for the creation of a lapbook, as well as the teaching of concepts and activities are very good; however, I think you would be wise to have your work edited before publishing and posting. Many thanks for your attention. Good luck.
