I saw your store on the home page of TeachersPayTeachers; so, I thought I would again look at a freebie which I was able to download this time. I left you a rating. Well done! I only have one suggestion. Place your product list and any advertisements at the END of your download. Buyers want to view your product first, not a list.

I hope you will have some time to rate one of my free products listed below.

I also became a follower of your store. I trust you will reciprocate. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/SciPi/Products
Good luck as you sell on TPT!

Hi Thad! Just wanted you to know that I couldn't open your freebie from your product page, but had to view all of your products to find it. Here is a suggestion from a fellow TPT seller. Just post the freebie without a list of your products as they can easily be found on the TPT website. Most buyers do not want to view everything you have when they download your free item. They just want the freebie. Good luck selling your items!

Disregard the question about the Solving Linear Systems equations--after I waited a few moments, the equations appeared.

Thad--I downloaded the systems of equations bundle, but none of the equations are on the documents. I tried both a newer and an older computer to see if it was a software glitch. Any suggestions as to how to get the complete documents?

Thanks!

Thad, you're Math Survey in the download preview doesn't give a lot of samples to view. It's hard to decide if it's applicable for my gr. 8 class. Any suggestions as to whether it would work for me?

Hi - thanks very much for your interest!

This survey would definitely be appropriate for an 8th grade class. The topics should all be ones that they have seen.

Detailed problem-type coverage:
- Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Long Division with 2 to 4 digit numbers
- Math vocabulary terms (8 of them): whole number, integer, etc.
- Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Long Division with decimal numbers
- Fractions: Adding/Subtracting with and w/o common denominators
- Fractions: Multiplying/Dividing common fractions and mixed numbers
- Absolute value
- Signed Numbers: Small number adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing
- Properties (8 of them): Asking for description and example of each (associative, distributive, etc.)

The survey can be used in two passes with students if desired. An optional initial pass would have students only consider each problem and circle Y or N next to each based on their confidence that they can solve it. This pass only takes 5 minutes or less.

A second pass would be to have the students do as many problems as they can and might take approximately 30 minutes.

I hope this helps, and again, thanks for your interest!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

17+ years teaching high school mathematics (all levels: basic, college-prep. and honors) Experience tutoring high school, college (undergraduate & graduate), and adult learners in mathematics, SAT & GRE test prep., and engineering. Started own financial advisory firm in 2007, Silver Maple Financial, LLC, and am a licensed financial advisor. Strong interest in finances of individual investing: compound interest, dollar-cost averaging, mutual funds, investing for retirement, etc. Worked for IBM as a computer programmer during college and for 3 years after college, then tutored while going back to school to be an educator. Never looked back! Best move I ever made! :-)

MY TEACHING STYLE

Structured, detail-oriented, but also relaxed. I try to focus and highlight relevant details, but not get too uptight about ones that are less important. I see a sense of humor as an invaluable asset to teaching and learning. I try to acknowledge and teach to multiple intelligences as much as possible. I am always interested in learning new things and draw much of my passion for teaching from this desire. I like to try to spark this in others.
