I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to you. Basically, the students would fold the paper on the line, and sort the letters. They are in different fonts, and it helps them to recognize the letters in all fonts. If you have any further questions, please let me know!

I noticed today as my kindergarteners were working that day 15 has "color the pr-blends blue, and the br-blends blue." I just adjusted it and told them to color the "br-" blends brown. Just thought you might want to know. I LOVE these and so do my kiddos! Thank you!

Some people have chosen to purchase each morning work pack separately. If purchased separately, the total cost is $37.00. If you choose to purchase the entire bundle, it's only $24.00. As I complete each separate morning work pack, I have been adding it to the bundle. All you have to so is go back and re-download the pack, and you will have the newest month added. March, April, and May are the current remaining months. I will add them as they are completed. I hope this answers your questions!

Hi! I was just moved from 2nd grade to kindergarten in December to replace a retiring teacher. I feel like I've now got a handle on where each of my students is and I'd like to implement morning work. Do they start easier in August and become more challenging as the year progresses? I like your packets but looking at January (which I bought along with October and November), I think it may be difficult for my students to "jump right in". Would you recommend starting back at August and working sequentially or perhaps another month? Trying to figure out how best to use for my students in my teaching situation. It may be necessary to start perhaps in October or November, until you get a feel for where your class is. August might be too easy, as it covers the letters of the alphabet, and numbers 1-5. I think that October or November would be right on the money. Yes, each pack becomes more challenging. This is my fifth year of teaching! Wow, time flies when you're having fun! I was named my school's teacher of the year for the 2012-2013 school year. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten, and I taught 1st grade for three years. I love teaching, and if I couldn't do it I think that I would really be lost in this world!!

My goal is to teach my students in a way that I myself was not taught. Being active learners, with as many hands-on activities as possible, helping them to develop higher-order thinking skills, while also preparing them for the reality of taking the mandated assessments.
