I tend to be structured and challenging, but very caring and real. I adapt my pedagogy and curriculum to meet the changing needs of my students from year to year. I do my best to keep a sense of humor and create a fun learning community.
I served as a curriculum mapping leader in middle school Language Arts. I was on building cabinet. I took part in a two year literacy partnership with the Center for English Learning and Achievement at SUNY Albany. I have had the privilege of taking part in some great summer professional development programs. Some of these were: the Favorite Poems Project at Boston University, National Endowment for the Humanities Socratic Ethics Seminar at Williams College, Hudson Valley Writing Project at SUNY New Paltz, and the New Jersey Council for the Humanities American Constitutional Law Seminar at Monmouth College.
