I actually live near I-64, but it is still considered Mineral. We go shopping at Walmart and Lowes all of the time.

If you would like to get your students into groups for cooperative learning quickly, you say something like "Find your 4 o'clock clock buddy" or "Find your George Washington clock buddy." Prior to that, the kids walk around and write other students name next to each time, or president, etc. These are essentially appointments for your students instead of you taking the time to organize kids into groups. I use them in high school and the kids really like them. Every few days, someone asks "When are we getting into clock buddies next?"

Irma Garcia re: Functions - Jeopardy Review Game
Good afternoon. I just bought this game ("Functions-Jeopardy Review Game") but I can't open it. Powerpoint tells me that it is not a powerpoint file. What program did you use to make this file? It can also be that the file is corrupted. Please let me know what can be done. Thanks in advance, Irma.

I am so sorry for the trouble, Irma. It appears the file became corrupted during upload somehow. The file on my computer is fine. I have uploaded the file again to my store and it appears to be working now. Please email me at bunovichcm@gtest.lcps.k12.va.us and I will personally send you the file. Thanks, Chad

Stephanie Ross  (TpT Seller) re: Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences and Series Football Review Game
I downloaded the game and it looks great! However, I'm having a technical problem. When I press the green arrow on some questions it goes to the next slide. Being not technically savvy, I cannot figure out how to get it to the main screen. Can you help me?

Thanks!

Thanks so much for downloading the game! I tried to replicate what you have been experiencing with the game and I found that each arrow is working properly. What you may be experiencing is this: if you do not hit the arrow and click close to the arrow, Powerpoint assumes you want to go to the next slide because clicking anywhere on a slide advances to the next slide. I made each arrow a "hotspot," so instead of advancing, Powerpoint returns to the home screen of the game.

If you find that you want to return to the home screen at any time, you can just hit "ESC" to get out of Slide Show view and navigate to the home screen from there. Please let me know if you are still having trouble. Thanks, Chad

Hi Chad,

You had asked about the graphs I used on my graphing quadratics activity. I wanted to follow-up on that and also explain the graphs on the vertex, focus and directrix activity I made because they were more difficult. There I set the virtual TI to have a "dot" graph. It was just easier to work with... Some of the quadratic graphs are not functions on that activity, so I changed variables and used a transformations so that the graphs accurately depicted the equations.

Best Wishes,

Got it. I know I have done things like this in the past and it is complicated. It would be nice if this kind of thing was easier to do! Thanks for the info.

I saw your store on the home page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. I left you a rating. Well done! Since you are fairly new, here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products. Move your directions to the second slide. Buers want to know up front how to play the game. You might consider listing several ways you use this product in your classroom. (Review? Group Work? Etc.) Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.

Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page/slide. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages/slides. Finally, unless you want your Word products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.

Since you teach math, I’d appreciate it if you would look at one of my freebies listed below. If you want to rate any of them, that would be great. Even if you don't, I think it is important to see what others are doing.

Keep checking the Sellers Forum for tons of ideas and helpful suggestions given by TPT veterans. The best of luck as you sell on TPT!

Thank you very much for the great advice. I will get right on it. As I have been poking around the site, I have noticed a lot of PDF files. So, your comment makes sense. I am looking forward to the dominos games. I love using playing cards for a bunch of different things, so the dominos will be right up my alley. I am now your newest follower and I just rated it.

Thanks again,

Chad

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught high school math for 8 years. I have taught Geometry, Trignometry, Statistics, AP Statistics, and Algebra II. Prior to teaching, I was a Mechanical Engineer for 7 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I know I have gotten the most satisfaction from my education when I have given it my all and done my best. Sometimes that means stretching yourself and getting out of your comfort zone. I expect my students to do the same so they can feel that same sense of accomplishment.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received several creative teaching grants.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College in Grove City, PA.
