I revised the file to include an index sample graphic. You will be able to download the revised file for FREE by going to MY PURCHASES tab. :)
Usually I prefer to have my students write their own sample index by referring to one of the books in our classroom. I provide a lesson on how to use an index to go along with the page in the notebook. I find it more meaningful than simply cutting and pasting a graphic.

I began with 2nd grade because it is my current assignment and I like to try my products out in my classroom first before going public with them. Although I have over 20 years in elementary classrooms working with students and staff, I feel like I'm still on the journey. I love to learn new things and share ideas with others. Being a teacher is more than a career, it is a passion that grows through the synergy of other teachers like you!

There is nothing more exciting than seeing the world through the eyes of a second grader. They are so excited to learn new things. Guiding them to new discoveries and providing opportunities to explore the world around them best describes the type of classroom I try to create.
