While I believe the product is good, I do not feel that it is at the AP level. I am new to teaching AP, but some of the poems in the packet I taught with ninth graders and the poems did not demonstrate the intensity that I was exposed to in my AP workshop. I will use the product, but not as a complete packet for AP.

Hello and thank you so much for purchasing the product and providing feedback. At the school where I teach, my AP Literature and Composition class is taken by a diverse student population of varying abilities. In order to provide a window into poetry, I begin with more accessible poems so that the students don't become discouraged and shut down. These are probably some of the poems you used in 9th grade. However, at the end of the unit, the students, now confident in their abilities, are ready to tackle the harder poems in the unit such as "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night", "The Emperor of Ice Cream" and "Bumblebee/Black Leather". These poems are challenging even for adults and college students and are certainly AP level!

Hi. I've doubled checked on my end and I don't seem to see a problem with the file. I have asked the TpT people to trouble shoot for us. In the meantime, you may want to check out their FAQ when it comes to downloading files. TpT tech people got back to me and said the site was pretty busy yesterday with their sale and many people got that message. They are sure that if you try again it will work. Thanks for trying my product!

Off the top of my head I can't think of a graphic novel that would be appropriate for 6th graders. The book HUGO CABRET by Brian Selznick reads almost like a graphic novel. You could also check your library for graphic novel versions of classic fairy tales. I've seen a few of those. The unit I have for sale wouldn't work for 6th graders - except for the lecture on graphic novel techniques which is included in the unit. Hope that helps! Best wishes.
