10 years in business, and 17 years teaching students not just how to acquire knowledge, but how to discover, understand and apply it at deeper and more sophisticated and rigorous levels.
Sophisticated Montessori/Socratic approach where the students are not told what things are and how to do things (memorization) but how to discover knowledge through inquiry and problem solve through the application of gained knowledge.
Unbelievable student growth and inner happiness

I am a former businessman and current 17-year veteran teacher of multiple grades (2nd through 12th). I presently teach 2nd grade at Sand Lake Elementary in Orlando, Florida where my children went to school. I loves to travel and then come back home with big ideas on how to make my lessons not only meaningful, but fun, exciting and adventurous. My students often achieve their highest growth ever on the state tests and then continue to excel in higher-level classes in middle and high school. More importantly, they do this because they have been taught how to think versus memorize :-) Inspired by a recent trip to Italy where I saw the gigantic wall mural of Raphael's School of Athens I have developed a series of lessons called The School of Athens ~ Mind Adventures.
