I’m very excited to use this product next year. So much of classroom time has been mandated towards isolated ELA and math instruction that students are missing exposure to basic scientific concepts. I am expecting that the routines provided by this program will help me introduce students to a wider variety of scientific topics in the time I have allotted.

My students and I have enjoyed all of your products...I especially found the "Weekly 5" and "Task Cards" beneficial for our review prior to state testing. I'm already looking at planning things for next year, and will be purchasing your "ILearn" product. Two questions...
1) I have already purchased the "Introduction to Science Stations"...will the rest of the "ILearn" be available at a reduced price? (Mainly so I don't have two of the same products...if not, no biggie!)
2) Have you thought/will you be creating other power points to supplement your units?

Thanks for these stations. I liked using them this week before the STAAR test. They were definitely more engaged then they would have been doing worksheets. I do want to mention that 3 of the answers were incorrect on your key for the Rounding station (third grade). #4 35 rounds to 40 not 30. And on numbers 7 and 8, your answers are right if you add then round the answer, but we've always taught the kids to round to make the numbers easier to work with and then add or subtract in which case you get 40 as the answer to both #7 and #8. Just thought I would pass that along. Thanks again!

The guided project includes more guiding questions while the advanced project states them outright. The advanced project has students draw out the storefront to scale while the guided project provides it. There are just slight differences to accomodate different learners.

Thanks for the question. Some of the centers are similar, but with problems written at a different level than the 4th grade stations. Take a look at the previews for each one to see specifically what is included before purchasing. You should be able to read the questions in the preview. I hope you find what you're looking for.

I am trying to wrap my mind around the daily five science. I am not sure I understand how the students in stations 2-5 have the knowledge to do those activities. I can see how station 1 can use their information card, but the others won't know enough about the subject to do the lessons. I am not understanding something? Thanks Theresa Latham

Hi! While I don't necessarily recommend it for second grade, I have heard from a few second grade teachers who have used some of the topics. Since it's on here, I don't have contact info. I recommend looking at each unit preview to see if it would work for your kiddos. Thanks!

Hi Aggie! I set the centers up in file folders. I put the pieces in baggies, then put the baggie and answer sheet in the folder. Then, I hot glued the title posters to the front. I made a stapled packet of the recording sheets that the students keep to move from station to station so the papers aren't scattered.

I teach 4th grade Science in Texas and your kits looks very interesting to me. Is the kit in a format that could be tweeked by me. For instance, could I use the format of your pages but change the vocabulary words or terms? I am starting notebooking with my students and think your pages and layouts would be very beneficial if I could gear it more towards my 4th grade curriculum.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
After teaching 5th grade for four years, I am now the teacher of twenty-two awesome 4th graders! I love differentiating instruction using stations and small groups.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I differentiate instruction as often as possible with small learning groups and stations. I try to incorporate labs and investigations, vocabulary study, and discussion about concepts into each science unit.
