The Touring America Notebook file is also available as a pdf document, which can be displayed and shared with the students. It isn't quite as interactive as it would be with notebook, but the content is exactly the same.

I was able to unzip. I have those files. The problem Im having is opening the notebook with the interactive files. I get a message saying unable to open and it needs to know what program it was created from. Thanks so much for your quick response and help.

Do you have the Notebook software for the SmartBOARD files? That is the only type of software that will be able to open the files. If you do not have access to the program, you can contact TpT for a refund. Sorry for the troubles.

Thank you for your purchase and contacting me! Were you unable to unzip the file? It should have four files. 2 Pdf's titled "Natural Resources Activities" and "Natural Resources Sorting Cards." Then there is natural resources.notebook, which is the smartboard slides. Finally there is a word doc teaching guide. Please let me know exactly what is missing. Do you have the notebook software to open the smartboard file? If not, I can send it as a pdf, but it will lose the interactivity.

I must say I do like your sorting cards with photos! I am presently a Toddler (year olds) teacher at a learning center and frequently make cards such as this for my kiddos. I am wondering where you find your pictures and what you do to avoid breaking any copyright laws. I have a set of photo cards that I would love to post for the different colors but I'm not sure if it is a violation of copyright laws. I was intending to list it as a free item so there would not be any profit received from it. Plus I would like to actually sell some things using photos. I would love any advice you are willing to give!

Great question! And yes, there is some overlap. 10 of the graphic organizers are used in both the 6th grade and the 7th grade versions. By looking at the standards, you will be able to see where the overlap is. Also, I notice a great increase in higher order thinking in 7th grade, which is reflected in many of the graphic organizer.

I am unable to open the preview. My computer gives me an error message that the file is corrupt or the file extension does not match. I'm not sure if it is just my computer, but I am worried about buying the file and not being able to open it. Is there a way to check that it will work before I purchase?

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Cory has 6 years of experience teaching 8th grade social studies. Prior to that he spent one year as a special education instructor. Andrea has four years of teaching experience at the 6th grade level teaching social studies and language arts. Andrea is currently staying at home and designing learning experiences for a boy obsessed with anything with wheels.
