I liked the assessment packet, but I had to change the short answer questions because they were the same as the multiple choice questions. Overall good though!

Thank you for your feedback. The product description states: "•An after the book comprehension quiz in both a short answer and multiple choice format." This means you have the choice of 2 versions of the test. I have found that choosing one of these versions along with the written assessment is enough to assess the student's understanding of the text. For my assessment purposes the objective is to gauge whether the student understood and balance that with not over testing. Especially with literature I hate to over test as really the goal is to understand the text and promote a love of, and habit of reading.

Cute activities, and the chapter questions are great for reflecting after reading. I appreciate the answer keys and vocabulary activities. However, this is a great resource for teaching, but I would not rely strictly on these lessons and worksheets for teaching the novel.

I am sorry that this wasn't what you were looking for and I wish you could have given me some constructive feedback that explained what the problem was for you. The product preview shows every part of the product so I am not sure why you didn't realize it wasn't what you needed before you purchased. Page 53 is the multipel choice version of the comprehension quiz. Page 54 is the Writing Assessment for end of book comprehension assessment. If for some reason the unit you downloaded did not contain these assessments please re-download from your account at no additional cost so that you have the complete unit.

I too was somewhat disappointed. I could not find any specific lessons that aligned with the standards as mentioned in the lesson outlines, only the standards and questions. The questions were useful, and I especially liked the vocabulary bookmark, a strategy I plan to use with more novels. But I like more authentic things than crossword puzzles.

My question before I do this is would I be able to take the disc to a print shop and have them print the entire thing out for me to save cost on my ink and ware/tear on my printer? With the copyright I just want to make sure it's okay with you or if you have a better suggestion.

This sounds like a download issue or an issue with your printer. I haven't added anything like that to the file so it isn't coming from me. First, make sure you are opening the file with the most up to date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download this for free from adobe.com. Sometimes computers will default opening files in Preview instead of Acrobat Reader and that can cause viewing/printing issues. There is some information in the FAQ here on TpT regarding viewing/printing issues:

Thank you for your interest. This center is geared for the K-2 grade level. All the word combinations are 4 letter words with the focus being on the long vowel sound combinations ai, ea, ee, oa, and oo.
There is one letter per object (graham cracker, marshmallow, & chocolate). The student will use 2 graham crackers, 1 marshmallow, and 1 chocolate to create a word (s'more).

First, make sure you are printing the purchased file and not the preview file. The preview file is locked to prevent printing.
Second, make sure you are opening and trying to print the file from the most up to date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and not Mac Preview. You can download this for free from adobe.com.

There are no restrictions on the purchased file that would prevent printing so I think it may be a technical issue on the TpT site. The support dept. will be able to help you with downloading issues, or possible printer setting issues, that may be causing the problem.

I do have the preview password protected so that it cannot be edited or printed but I don't know why it wouldn't open. It sounds like there may be a technical issue on TpT. I just downloaded it myself from the item page and it opened fine. Try trashing the copy you have and re-download. If that still doesn't work you may want to contact TpT support at the "contact us" button at the bottom of every page to see what is causing the technical issue between the TpT site and your computer.

I know I have read about this type of thing and other printing issues happening due to the print settings on some computers or if you are opening in old version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. There is a watermark on the product for security that is invisible and placed behind the page so it shouldn't show up at all when you view or print.

I don't think the standards alone will be helpful to you. Please take a look at the preview file. It shows the standards pages that are included. You can see that what I have done is to list the standard and then the accompanying activities from the unit that meet that standard. Without the unit activities you would have nothing listed. The standards don't address the book so much as it addresses the accompanying activities. Please email with any additional questions. Thank you for your intetest!

I opened a support ticket through TpT yesterday in response to your feedback. They contacted me and said that they would be contacting you to try and figure out why this is happening. I tested the download and there is no watermark on the download I made. The only place I am seeing a watermark is on the preview file so make sure you are trying to view/print the purchased download and not the preview. Also make sure you are opening the file using Acrobat Reader and not "Preview". Make sure you have the most up to date Acrobat Reader which you can download for free at adobe.com.
Can you try just downloading the product again? Maybe it was just a bad download for some reason?
I am sorry for the inconvenience. I am really baffled and I don't know what else to suggest since I am not seeing it at all on the download I make from the TpT site. Hopefully the TpT support team will be able to sort this out quickly if my suggestions don't work.

I opened a support ticket through TpT yesterday in response to your feedback. They contacted me and said that they would be contacting you to try and figure out why this is happening. I tested the download and there is no watermark on the download I made. The only place I am seeing a watermark is on the preview file so make sure you are trying to view/print the purchased download and not the preview. Also make sure you are opening the file using Acrobat Reader and not "Preview". Make sure you have the most up to date Acrobat Reader which you can download for free at adobe.com.

I downloaded your night of the twisters vocab packet and was disapointed that I cannot use most of the parts because it has THE TEACHING BANK in bold letters over each page preventing me from using it. This happened when i go to print the pdf files. I am hoping there is some way you can fix this for me, or you can refund me, before I leave a negative rating. I cannot use the pages as is with these typed across them. The whole point was to save me time from creating them myself. Please respond to me about this before I leave a rating. Thank you

The purchased file does not have The Teaching Bank watermark across it. The preview file does so make sure you are printing the actual purchased file and not the preview option. Also make sure you are using the most up to date Adobe Acrobat Reader software to open and print the file. If you are using an old version or "preview" to open the file you will have printing problems. Also check your printer settings to make sure there is not anything odd there. You can contact me at the email address that is on the front page of the file with any additional questions. I will be happy to help you get this resolved ASAP but I think this might be a download issue that can only be fixed by the TpT Tech people.

I love it!! :) I have completed the division puzzles for divisors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 1-10, and 1-12 and have them available now. Tomorrow I hope to get the 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 done and will upload them. I will also offer a bundle where you can buy them all together at a discount so you may want to wait for that! I am not sure what would be causing that. I tested the download and there were no watermarks. I uploaded the file again anyway so try downloading again and see if there is an issue. Make sure you are printing the purchased copy (not sample) that is opened through Adobe Reader (not preview).
If that doesn't help then I think it may be a tech issue with the TpT site. Please contact customer support through the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of this page. They will be able to fix whatever it is on the website that is causing this.

Within that grade level I Iist the specific standard and under that I list all the activities within the unit that align to that specific standard. I do this for the reading, writing, speaking/listening, and language portion of the standards.
