Hola otra vez. I purchase Subj, Spanish 2 midterm and fairy tale packet. Could you please send Spanish commands to ghsobota@gmail.com? Also, is the midterm available also in Word and, if so, could you please send that to me that way? Gracias.

Hello, and thanks for your response, but I am still unclear of how to proceed. Do you mean buy three products, let you know, and then you will arrange for the fourth, or to buy four and have the cost of one of them rebated somehow? Gracias.

Great! After you purchase them, just email me and let me know what you purchased and which one you want. Then I'll check the transactions and email you the one that you want. You're the first person to take advantage of this, so I'm very excited. If you could rate the products after you use them, I'd really appreciate it as lots of people have purchased things, but I have very little feedback. Also, as you use the products, if you have any ideas for improvement, could you please me know - I'm always trying to make my products even better for my customers and find it helpful to get new perspectives. Thanks and happy teaching!

Thanks for the question. There is a French version, a Spanish version and then the general "World Language" version. They are the same games and activities, but when appropriate, I included language specific instructions or game parts. I would just stick with the Spanish version, because much of it will be similar.
Happy teaching!

Thanks for purchasing world language review games and for your question. Do you mean an after school club? I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for? I have a themed vocabulary unit for preschool students (30 pages of vocabulary and grammar, each with a different theme: seasons, clothing, sports, holidays, etc). If you tell me what types of things you're looking for, I might be able to point you in the right direction or at least give you some ideas. I have taught preschool/elementary age kids in my home and at a nearby preschool. Let me know and I'll see if I can help.
Thanks,

Haven't done that yet. I am in the process of going back through all my products and updating everything. Which specific phrases would be helpful to you? Do you mean "si" clauses? Let me know what you'd like to see/any other suggestions for the unit, and I'll put it on my list of things to do and will send out a notice when I have a new version. Can't guarantee that I'll get to it in the near future, but I will work on it when I can find some free time.

Liquorice Allsorts  (TpT Seller) re: Italian Oral Exam for Midyear, Midterm or Final Exams
Hello Sherry,

I see you are a teacher of Italian, as well as other languages.

Would you be interested in custom recordings, done by me in my Tuscan/Florentine accented Italian, for listening comprehension? I am planning to post some audio recordings of female character monologues in Italian and British English that would be of use to teachers of Italian and ESL/EFL, and am also open to specific requests from other sellers for Italian and English Language Arts custom recordings.

We could collaborate by associating your textual materials with my audio pieces so that either of us would cite the other for related materials for individual items. It would make our individual efforts more marketable.

Please let me know if you would like to explore this.

Thanks!

Dear Liquorice Allsorts,
Italian really isn't my specialty. I just adapted one of my French/Spanish products for Italian. It's speaking situations that all are in English, but could be used in an Italian classroom.
So unfortunately, I don't think it would be a good fit. Best of luck with your selling!

Dear Buddy,
Thanks for purchasing another one of my products. Wasn't the speaking rubric included? It should have been at the end of the packet. Could you check and let me know if it is there? I will send it to you if you didn't get it. I usually use that rubric and write down any errors that the students make alongside those categories. I put checks in the appropriate space for each answer and then look at where the checks are overall to determine the final grade. I usually weight the speaking section of the exam 20 points. You can also use the questions to do an oral assessment each quarter and count it as a test grade. Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. If you could rate the products that you purchased, I would really appreciate it. Thanks and
happy teaching!

Hello Sherry, I bought the subjunctive 20 page packet and I love it so far. Thank you. I wanted to ask you a little more about the golf game as I didn't quite figure it out. If you would, (sorry to bother) would you please run through it with me in a short e-mail. I'm so excited to use this and would love to buy other products for Spanish that you have created. Thank you so much, Buddy. (pobrelalo@me.com)

Dear Ed,
Thanks for purchasing my product. Glad to hear that you like it. Feel free to ask me any questions or send any feedback over email.
I invented golf for my classroom because I wanted a new game to play to make sentence translation a little more fun and to get my students used to checking over their work. Here's how it works:
Set up the students in pairs and give each pair an A sheet and a B sheet. If you have an odd number of students, you can form a group of three and give two students A sheets and one student a B sheet.
Have the students fold the sheet so that their partners answers are on one side and their sentences to translate are on another side. At the top of the sheet are the sentences for the each person to translate.
The students each try to translate the first sentence on a sheet of paper. Then their partner checks it over. If the sentence is correct on the first try then the student receives a score of 1 (or a hole in one). If the sentence is not correct, the partner underlines the errors and the student tries to fix it. Once he has corrected the errors, he shows it to his partner again. If it is correct, the student receives a score of 2. For each time that the partner checks the sheet, add a golf stroke (a point). Then to get the final score, compare the number of attempts it took to par. For example, if par is 3 and it took 4 attempts, then the score is +1. If par is 5 and it took 3 strokes then the score is -2 (2 under par). If par is 3 and it took 3, the score is 0.
It helps to visualize a golf course on the board and show students lines to illustrate the strokes that a golfer would take. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions/feedback, please let me know. Thanks and happy teaching!

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems. The activities are at the end of the PowerPoint on one of the last slides. I had to do it that way since I wasn't sure how to upload both a Powerpoint and another document. On my computer, it shows up as a Powerpoint, so I'm not sure why it would show up as Adobe on yours. I will double-check to see if I can figure it out. You can email me at jerez121@gmail.com if you're still having problems.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught high school French and/or Spanish for nine years and am certified in both languages in Massachusetts and New York. I'm currently home with my kids and am raising them bilingually. In my free time, I tutor/teach adult classes at a language center and teach pre-schoolers in my home.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am a big believer in active learning. The more fun and interesting the lessons, the more the students get involved and the more language they learn.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

* One of sixteen teachers selected from across the country for a Fulbright-Hays Scholarship to travel and study in Mexico for a month. * Recipient of a high school education grant to create a foreign language library for our department.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

* Wellesley College - B.A. French, minor in Education, semester abroad in Paris, studying at Jussieu and with NYU program. * Harvard - Continuing Education class in Spanish * Middlebury College - M.A. in Spanish * Fulbright-Hays Scholar - traveled around Mexico for a month, studying the language, culture and people

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

While raising my two kids bilingually, I have watched the language learning process first-hand. Learning a language should be a fun, natural activity, not just a bunch of flashcards and verb charts. I strive to make every product fun for students and teachers, while using the target language as much as possible.
