Hi paamster7,

Great questions! You can edit the size of the cards a little bit {by using PowerPoint and adjusting the size of the image}, although I think this method would best be used if you wanted to make the cards smaller. There are 4 cards per page. Each card is approximately 4 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" tall.

If you need a specific size, I'd be happy to create a custom product for you! Just e-mail me at TheTeacherGarden@yahoo.com.

Thanks!

Hi nickythorne,

It looks like these posters were made back in my early days of creating, which is why there is no credit... I think the handwriting font is "Pea Nicki" from www.KevinAndAmanda.com. I'm not sure what the title font is. That box that I placed the words in is simply a clipart frame. There are a number of them available if you just do a search for "clipart frame" here on Teachers Pay Teachers!

Thanks for your interest!

Hi! I am a Kindergarten teacher here in Texas. I have a question for you. Does your school use CSCOPE for curriculum? If so, how long? Our district just rolled it out for us to begin using it. I love it, but many of my colleagues are overwhelmed and do not like it at all. Did anyone on your faculty have the same problems? Can you tell me how your school overcame the issues? Of course these questions are assuming you do use it. I really appreciate any help you can give me.

Do you think this would be too difficult for 6th grade? What type of background knowledge do they need in order to use this lesson. Thanks
January 22, 2012 Report inappropriate comment
TheTeacherGarden
TheTeacherGarden  (TpT Seller)
Hi, Kimberly! This PowerPoint reviews 8 different subject-verb agreement rules. Sometimes I used the "grown-up definition," and sometimes I used a more "kid-friendly" definition of the rule. You could easily edit this a bit to make it more understandable for 6th graders, but if your school has taught grammar in earlier grades, I don't think your students would have a problem using this.

The other 24 slides are part of the review portion of the lesson: each slide has one sentence on it. Students must decide if the sentence is grammatically correct by remembering the rules in the earlier slides. You could do this as a group activity to scaffold the students more, if it turned out to be too difficult for them. You could even use one sentence per day as a "bellwork" activity to allow them to practice subject-verb agreement for several days!

I hope that helps! If not, please feel free to ask another question :)

Dear Miss H,

My name is Jack Dennison. I am the Editor-in-Chief of www.FunnelBrain.com, an educational website. I am writing to you because the quality of the work you have posted to PTP distinguishes you as a talented author. I am looking for teacher-authors to create custom study review materials for FunnelBrain (on a paid basis, of course).

These study materials would take the form of online flashcards, quizzes, and study guides for high school and college level courses, as well as for certain standardized exams such as the GMAT, the SAT or the GRE. We are also interested in lesson plans built around activities that can take place on www.FunnelBrain.com.

If you are interested in a paid writing assignment, please email me at jack@funnelbrain.com, and I will respond with details on the available assignments. In the meantime, please feel free to browse FunnelBrain.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.
