Could you please change the worksheets so that they match the cards? On the card it says "filled up the candy shop" but on the worksheet it says "Excited children filled up the candy store." On another card it says "spilled on the floor" but on the worksheet it says "Big wooden barrels of candy covered the floor." I already made and laminated this game and my students discovered the mistakes. It would be great if you could make the worksheet to match the cards. Thank you.

Do you have the latest version of Adobe Reader? Make sure you install the latest version of ADOBE READER (it's free). Then, open the file with ADOBE READER. That's it. On a MAC, make sure to "Open With" ADOBE READER and NOT Preview. If it's still blurry, that's because you are still opening it with Preview!

Absolutely! Estimation, place value and adding larger numbers make it a great addition to your math workshop or math class. My teaching partner and I often use it as an "after you're done..." incentive once we've played it a few times with the whole class.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. The 8th habits is: Find your Voice & Inspire Others to find Theirs. It basically means that you will find your voice when you can say that you are 100% involved in what you are doing with your life. Essentially, your body, mind, heart and spirit are all engaged in what you have chosen to do in life, whatever that may be.

"Bang!" is a game you can play whole group, small group or with partners.
Put all of the cards (including the "Bang!" cards) into a container. They have to pick a card without looking and say the word correctly. Then they keep the card. If they say it wrong, the card goes back. However if they draw a "Bang!" card they have to put all of their cards back in the tin and start again. The person with the most sight word cards at the end wins.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

You place the BANG! cards in a container with the fluency phrases.
If a student draws a phrase card and says it correctly, they keep the card. If they don't, they put the card back.
If they pull a BANG card, that student has to put all of their cards back.
You can set a time limit for play or you can try to play until only the BANG cards are left. I've done it both ways. It works in small groups and as a whole class activity.

I just downloaded your St. Patrick's Day Fun and I am getting blurred copies. I even asked our school's tech person who has the most current updated computer (as of this month) to see if it would print from her computer. A lot of the copies are coming out missing the words or all blurred and blank. Has anyone else had this problem and/or do you know if it can be fixed so I can use them tomorrow? Thanks!

I love your Adjective Antics, but on the foldable after I printed it out and folded it, the word "make" appears after the rest of the sentence "sentences stronger!" Did I fold it correctly or should the word "make" appear on the previous line? Thank you!

Hi there! About a month ago, I downloaded your poetry units you do the first 7 weeks of school - at least the ones you had uploaded then. I just went to open and review your week 3 stuff for Animal Faire. Unfortunately, I got the message that there was an error during downloading. So, I went back to my downloads and it no longer shows up - guess it's been too long. I went to download/purchase it again because I have loved the first couple weeks of lessons and activities I purchased from you, but I can't find it anywhere in your store. Did you remove it? Help!!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching for thirteen years. I've spent most of my time in 3rd grade with a few years in 4th sprinkled somewhere in the middle. I have worked with gifted and inclusion students for the last 6 years. Each day brings its own challenges, but the rewards are immeasurable!
MY TEACHING STYLE
There are two rules in our room: 1. Be kind. 2. Work hard. In the words of my friend Rafe, "If I expect my students to follow these rules, I need to be the kindest and hardest working person they know." I strive every day to make sure our room is full of kind, hard-working people. :)
