I used this with my homeschool group when we studied the US. The kids enjoyed figuring out the clues to know where they were going. For a homeschooler with a small printer, I couldn't use everything because there's so much colored ink used to print everything. Found myself wishing I had a larger printer because it is VERY colorful and attractive!

Hi! I used the book Pumpkins by Gail Gibbons when I wrote this lesson. I read it to my class before we begin the whole unit. It's full of great facts about pumpkins, types of pumpkins and even the history of Halloween. I'm so happy that you like this unit. It's one of my favorites. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I currently teach third grade at a parochial school in Wisconsin. I am thoroughly enjoying the wonderful things that a small school brings. I have taught second and fourth grade and before teaching had a fabulous job in our local middle school. I love my middle school students!
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe that learning should be fun. The best compliment that I have ever had came from a parent whose daughter was disappointed that it was Saturday because there was no school!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I have been teaching my entire life and have been in the classroom for 10 years. I was a little girl who didn't like school and didn't want to go. I always said that if I had my own classroom that it would be a safe, fun, bright room where above all else my students knew that I loved them and that they could learn. I believe I have such a room.

I am the mother of three adult children, one with special needs, and the proud grandma of one precious little granddaughter. I enjoy reading, writing, and above all creating. "Through God all things are possible."
