First, thank you for sharing a great planner! I had a question about the page layout and print options. Is it only possible to print this as a one page whole year in view layout? I've tried adjusting the margins, etc. I am familiar with Excel, but not expertly so. I wanted to print your planner a little bigger and across three pages instead of three rows on one page. I'm sorry, because the files are digital and there is no way to truly return them, there are no refunds. For my "higher" learners, I always increase my expectations for writing lessons and still allow them to create the craft (because the kiddos LOVE doing that!). The pack is designed to work with K-2 students, but as with everything, you know your kids best and need to make adjustments to your lessons as necessary. Hopefully this is something you will consider with your kiddos.

No. They are Excel programs. Although Numbers can open some Excel files, there is just too much in these for Numbers and it doesn't convert. However, the planners are compatible will all versions of Excel for both Windows and Mac.

Absolutely. Be sure you have your Exel set to show column and row headers (Excel/preferences/view/show column and row headers). This will make adjusting column widths easier. You can change them to any size you wish. Please email me if you have questions :)

The coins are there in case someone wants to use it for coins, but mostly I have my kiddos just use it to skip count using 5 and 10 and we do a little to apply it to coins just while talking about it. Hi there. Be sure you have your Excel Preferences set to show column and row headings. That makes adding and deleting columns and rows much easier. Hi, Traci, I am a single ESL teacher at a K-8 school plus I do reading intervention, so I have to keep track of at least 9 different sets of curriculum frameworks for each subject that I am pulling out of as well as the matching lesson plans. To make matters worse, many of the classes start at odd times such as 11:20am. Can your planner help with scheduling classes that occur at different times each day, often for different lengths of time? It would be great if I could keep all the plans together on just a few different sheets instead of the 12 notebooks that I currently have. (I am also considering your yearly planner.)

Be sure you have checked "wrap text" for that cell so that the text will type in multiple rows in that cell. You cannot hit return ... just keep typing or add extra spaces to move on to the next row within a cell. Hope that helps. Feel free to email me :D

I'm happy to help. It can be tricky if you aren't familiar with Excel. The first step is to make sure your Excel is set to "show column and row headers" in preference. After that it is easier to resize rows. Excel uses "insert row" to add rows. Please email me. It's much easier to help via email. I am happy to do it for you. if you have already started entering things on your planner, send that too so you don't have to start over.

Say: A two page format with 8 squares on each day, with the first square being the size it currently is and with the planning columns in the front as you have them now. I've done all sorts of writing with this craft. One of my favorites is to have the kids write about "If I Were a Penguin" and have them write about what type of penguin they are, how they would look, what they would eat, etc. That way the kiddos are demonstrating what they've learned in regard to penguin science AND building their expository writing skills. :D

Hi! When I try to print this unit, I get an error message that it cannot be printed. It says that there are no selected pages/no pages to print. I had a coworker try to print it for me from her computer to see if it was something specific to mine, but that didn't work either. Do you have any suggestions? I really have no need for this one, but was planning to begin the Holiday unit this week. Is there any way to fix this quickly? Traci, as you can see I LOVE your products. In reference to your Winter Games, I could download the three games, but not the matching cloze story, etc. to go with those games. The corresponding papers were in the zip file. I had mentioned that on my ratings page. Thanks for getting back to me as I am planning get these printed up and laminated because I love it so! There are cloze activities in there. There are also separate math game and word work games packs as well. This looks like a nice starting template. I currently use excel to do my plans like this, but I really like the style element you have. One problem I'm running into is font. What font is used? It is coming up ugly old Arial. I skimmed through your blog & directions, but I'm not finding that info (could be me). Thanks.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught primary for over 15 years. I am passionate about teaching literacy and try to incorporate it into all subject areas whenever possible. I enjoy creating things for the kiddos in my class and sharing those things with you.
