At the time I created this, we were not in the midst of common core, but I referenced Texas standards as I created it so it should align in many ways although Texas does not use common core. I can go through it and mark the standards that have been covered. I will let you know as soon as I have that done.

It needs to be all the dominoes for a set of double nines, including the zero ones. Have you even seen the domino art pictures? They are large. You put 12, 11 x 11 posters up together to form a portrait. You have about five portraits to choose from at a domino art website. We have 12 first grade classrooms in our building and I thought it could be a group effect to make one.

When I use the key next to the "enter" key, I get a "greater than or equal to
" symbol. With shift, I get what I think is the symbol for parallel lines. After over an hour of trial and eror (and, yes, I used the glph guide), I found that using the tab key brings up both the division sign and the square root symbol. Six keyboards in the house--not one had a "right" and "left" quotation symbol as indicated in your glyph guide. Just in case you get this question again, you might suggest trying the tab key...

Hi! Thanks for purchasing! A glyph poster came with the zip which will help you to quickly find where all the symbols are located! They should! It is the typical ttf file used with all other fonts. Just download and install into your fonts folder. Make sure OpenOffice is closed completely and then reopen after installing.

I actually created a "bookshelf" a couple of weeks ago in which students write titles on the books and the teachers keep all the shelves on a bulletin board. the kids keep a spreadsheet in binder....I've about fallen out of my chair just now b/c I saw a pin w/ a bookshelf!! It was yours!! Much more in depth and all, but I immediately wanted to make sure you didn't think I saw yours prior to creating one myself! :) I have no idea if you've even seen others, but I just wanted to send you a quick note! Was trying to think of a way to get my kids more interested in their AR reading since we use it in our school and ran into a student of mine who mentioned she thought it would be cool if she had a place to write the titles of her books as she read them. I told her I would make a product like that so she could use it lol! Who knows, you might have beat me to it! I should have checked first I guess! I sure can! What it is asking is if the sentence stops at the end of every line or if the idea continues to more than one line.
For example:
A "no" answer:
The moon was bright,
It shone the light,
It totally made my night!
A "yes" answer:
The moon was so bright that
it shone a light on me.
It brought a gladness to my
heart that I could see.
I hope this makes sense! :) Mainly it is for getting kids to recognize where the complete ideas are ending and that not all poetry has one line per idea.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 7th year teaching the 5th grade. I have been lucky enough to work in the most amazing campus. I teach reading in a departmentalized campus in the upper elementary grades and I am enjoying it! Reading is a passion of mine!
