The layout was very nice and worked out well... However, I really wish this came with an option to save it AFTER it has been filled in, or as a Word file instead...
I ended up losing a whole bunch of typed info after shutting down my computer. So I had to retype everything, and print it out immediately for my long-term sub - I mean, who can plan 3 months worth of work in one sitting at the computer?!

I'm so sorry that this caused you an inconvenience! This past year was my maternity leave and I felt like there was such a void for resources for long term sub planning and I wanted to share what I had put together, but I found out only Adobe Pro gives you the fill in boxes and it won't let you save it. I agree that this is a major down side, so I made sure to address that in the product description. Please let me know if there is anything I can do make up for this problem. If Adobe ever changes this feature I will make sure to update it with the option to save!

I just purchased Year Long Common Core Kindergarten Assessments yesterday and was unable to print it. I tried multiple times at school. Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear about the printing problems. The margins of the document are not standard so make sure the printer settings allow for printing outside the standard margins. Unfortunately we haven't come across this problem yet, so I have limited knowledge for troubleshooting. The best person to check with would be your tech person or someone with knowledge of your specific computers and printers. If you still can't print it I can e-mail you a pdf version straight from my computer. And if that still doesn't work I would be happy to refund you your money. Either way please let me know what you find!

Can you tell me if you've captured all of the math standards in your math stations sets 1-3? I love how they look, but would like to know if there are enough activities to meet the majority of the standards. Please let me know. We are moving away from our math series and into our own activities and plans and need to be sure we're covering everything for our administration.

Thank you for your e-mail. I created these math stations in response to the same problems it seems that your district is facing with the curriculum having gaps and not enough coverage of certain areas. Each common core skill is addressed. In fact I have 6 stations that are devoted specifically to the 6 math domains of the common core standards. I just want to make sure you know that the math stations are only for independent practice. They work off the principal of gradual release in which you are teaching the skills as a whole group and the math stations are the student's opportunity to practice the skills. For example you would teach the students how to use ten frames and represent numbers using ten frames and then these packets would have ten frame activities. Hope this helps you!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I started my teaching in a public high school in Japan. There I experienced again what it was like not to be able to read or write the language. I've taken that experience and taught in PreKindergarten and now Kindergarten. I love early childhood and am passionate about laying a solid foundation for my students to build on for the rest of their lives.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I strive to buid independent learners. I do that by using the gradual release model of teaching. I begin the year with a lot of modeling and whole group teaching, then we move to small groups and I am a facilitator, finally we move to more independent learning and I am the coach. As a coach I cheer them on and give them guidance when they need it to refine their skills.
