Hi Karen. Thanks for your suggestion. My sister and I appreciate your idea on how to make the packet better and less confusing for the kids. I was not able to add a sand picture to the student response page because the clipart set I had purchased did not include a black and white version of the sand. However I did have clipart sets with both color and black/white versions of the umbrella. So I added a color picture card of the sand with the umbrella for the kids to measure and left the black and white picture of the sand with umbrella on the student response page. I hope this meets your needs. Be sure to re-download the packet to get the new changes. I fixed it this morning and it is ready to go. We hope you have a great end of the school year and a great summer.
Here is another update for this packet: We decided to add another student response page for the kids to use when completing the measuring activity. We had to make it with color versions of the clipart pictures. Now the kids have the same pictures on the student response page as the cards. Just print the page in grayscale to help save on color ink.

What a great idea for the extra page. You are so right about playing rough. It is a problem. We will see what we can do. We don't know if we will be able to find a "playing too rough" clipart picture but we will try to use what we have and make it work. We will get to this right away for you. :)
Update: We just uploaded the revised edition of the recess rules book. We ended up adding three more pages to the book.
