I really like your lessons but am having the same problems as mentioned below. The paper clip respond with - Can't find the linked file. Also, is this page with the paper clip the only one on the file or are there other pages to download. Are the rubrics, beginning, middle and end pages and the last chapter story (space) on you download. I would really like to use these without redoing them.

The reading strategies files are the result of my having a background in gifted ed and several years of training in reading strategies (our whole school studied them for four years). So, it would be difficult to explain what they are all about. People have used these with students and even to inservice teachers to explain reading strategies. Inferring, synthesis, text connections, asking questions, and so on are all included. I'm sorry somehow I didn't get an email that you asked a question and I didn't see this until today. I used them with first graders, but they could be used up through grade four, I feel. The free demo has some of the slides in it. Maybe you are well versed in reading strategies already! Carolyn

Sometimes we click too soon because it looks like it is all there, but we really haven't to wait. I do that sometimes, anyway. The other thing is you can open a help ticket on TpT and the help desk people will help you figure it out. Go to the bottom of the page, click on contact us, and tell them your problem. Try this: click on the paperclip tab on the side of the slides. Do not view full screen, be sure the small slides are on the side. The tab on the side will show a panel where the PDF files are. Slide each one on to your desktop. That should work. Open them from your desktop. It might be something about your settings. Actually, for tech help, you should open a ticket and get answers from TpT. I will alert them to your issue in case you need to contact them. I am sorry you are having trouble. Carolyn

I have purchased the Calendar Math Aug. 2012 - June 2015 and Printable Student PDFs and want to begin using them with my students beginning in Dec. By the tally marks you have used the terms flats, longs and shorts. Are you talking about hundreds tens and ones? If so, could I have them with those terms? Thanks. I teach 1/2 special ed and a change in terms would really confuse them, but they need to know hundreds tens and ones.

Hi, you had me worried so I downloaded it myself, and on the first screen there is an arrow pointing to a paperclip. There are two ways to get the 78 page attachment. You have to click on a paperclip. There is a paperclip at the edge of the arrow pointing to one paperclip. When you click on the paperclip the PDF will open. SMART Board also has tabs on the side of the slides (it might be on your right or left depending on what you have set up). Look on the sides of your slide, one tab has a paperclip. Click on the tab paperclip and the PDF is there. Click on the PDF and it will open. This is a standard way to open PDFs on SMART Board. Please let me know if you still have trouble. I'm not sure what you mean about a hand and an arrow. PDFs do not open in view slide show mode, only in normal view where you can see the slides on the side. Animation on the slides only shows up in view slide show mode. TpT has a help system and prefers you ask them for tech help and not sellers. What I do know is you can project from your computer onto the Mimeo screen, correct? You can project any lesson or web site. So one that that would work well is to use the online SMARTboard express viewer so you don't actually go through Mimeo and you can project and interact with SMARTboard lessons for free. http://express.smarttech.com/ At this instant site you can view, save, and interact with Notebook files for SMARTboard for free. It is an easy site to use. I have a small problem... the letter Ll in the "owl-alphabet for class-decor is NOT the same. It is the Owl letter Ll for the other set with all the colors. Is there any way that you could make me the Ll owl with the orange polka dot border.So that it matches? Please??????? I will send you pics when my room is done because it looks amazing.

Hi, I have taught grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. I have taught sixth grade gifted ed. I would use this with those ages at a faster pace than the lower grades. The worksheets are open-ended so the students may write at their own levels. The art is not babyish. Just the text connections part would be too young. I took reading strategy classes four 4 years and this product is the result. Carolyn

I purchased your Owl themed set and love it. I have one question...Is there any way that you can make the small pastel letter cards with the same brown owl as the pennants and the large posters. I want to use them for my word wall that has to go on my cabinets. If not, I will try to have the printer make the image smaller.

I did make the pennants smaller and added it to the product, did you see the updated file? I wrote here that I did and now I see my comment is gone. Dear Lindsey: Not a silly question! I am going to add to this pack when TpT allows 100 MB uploads which is supposed to be soon, and I'll have a word wall and some work pages for the alphabet. So, H is high as the one owl is looking up high at the owl flying in the sky, do you see the little owl up in the right hand corner? It reminds me of birding. Dear Aplum7878: This is what I would say to you. Join TpT as a basic seller (you don't have to be ready to sell to join, and it is REALLY free). Then go to the forum area and start reading all the sellers have to say. There is a green bar at the top of the forum area, and you can press the search word (not in the top white search area, that always goes to lessons). Put in the words clip art for SMART board. I have just recently learned that http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Graphics-From-The-Pond will allow SMART board use with a few sentences saying the graphics are from that clip art source. Most clip artist will NOT allow any graphics on a SMART board and I have had a pretty terrible time hunting down people willing to let me use their art on presentations. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Masketeers will also allow SMART board use but you have to reduce the file size a lot as their graphics are large. Also, you must give credit for that artist on the presentation. Good luck! You can really learn so much in the seller's forum prior to being ready to sell. Good luck to you! Carolyn

Or, you could download the free Smarttech software for your home computer, and then view it at home, and save it. I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!! here's what I figured out. I am using the newest version of Adobe Reader X and it has a brand-new-to-Reader setting called "Protected Mode". This must be disabled in order for open the PDFs.
This is what you have to do to solve the problem just in case you have any other people who purchase it and have the newest version of adobe.
Disable "Protected Mode" this way:
Go to Edit > Preferences > General, then UNcheck the box that says
"Enable Protected Mode on Startup".
I just opened a few of the PDF's so I am assuming they all work. Thanks again for trying to help. Obviously I do not need a refund:-)
