Thank you so much for creating this at my suggestion! I was hoping though that you'd stick to the cvc syllables on each pig part, just use higher level sounds (e.g., lan-sen-ber). The multisyllabic words on each part is too difficult; one 3 syllable word, containing higher level sounds, segmented across the three pig parts would be perfect. That way I could use the pig's separations as a way to help my students learn how to decode/segment/blend multi-syllabic words and practice artic at the same time.

I saw your question on this page after the comment in the ratings section. I am still trying to figure out how everything works on TpT :) I see now that the words would be multisyllabic when you put each part of the pig together. I will work on the updated CVC version with higher order sounds this weekend. Thanks again for your support and for suggesting activities (if you have any more suggestions that you would find helpful for your students please let us know). Thanks!!

Would love to see you do a Pig's Fly Nonsense word version with /s, r, l, sh/ and short vowel sounds in single syllable nonsesne words. Have many students that are older so working on higher level sounds but still struggling with decoding those CVC words. Would also be great activity for students with apraxia that need work on multisyllabic words (work on movement patterns between nonsense words as put pigs together). Hope you are in the sale on Wed! Your current activitiy is on my wishlist. Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
For the past four years I have been working as a speech therapist in the public school setting. I have serviced children from grades PK-12 with developmental to severe disabilities. I also provide home health speech services to adults after school and on school breaks.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I like to use a variety of activities to engage my students in learning. We play a lot of games that are not only tons of fun but provide great educational experiences as well. As a school based speech therapist I also align all of my lessons to the common core standards to support academic success.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
In graduate school I was awarded the most creative clinician award. I have also served as the district speech/language representative for my region's Autism cadre.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication Disorders from Western Kentucky University.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
This Teachers Pay Teachers store is a collaboration between my sister and I. She is a graphic designer and I am a speech-language pathologist. We decided to combine our efforts to create highly engaging materials for speech therapists and teachers. It's a win-win situation as we are helping others and growing our relationship.
