I like these and love the idea of having the students have their own management system. I also love how the teachers can have a sheet to show which student needs the most work and who got the standard down! The only part I think is not needed, are the "stickers" I can only imagine how long it would take to cut those out and then the bothersome of having the students glue one little thing to their chart. I think just real stickers would work a lot better. BUT- I LOVE this system and I can tell how much work went into it! Great job and thank you

It is a Promethean ActivInspire file so it will only open in Promethean ActivInspire Software. I am unable personally to give you your money back as all transactions go through TpT, so they will have to be the ones that give you your money back. I would suggest emailing them and letting them know.

You need to have Smart Notebook installed on your computer for the program to work. If you browse for it on your computer (I usually save mine to my desk top) and double click it, it will open in Smart Notebook. If you don't have the Smart Notebook program it will not work. Hmmm..I am unsure why they won't print for you. When I unzip the file and then open the images, my print function allows me to print them in different photo sizes. Have you tried maybe opening microsoft word or power point and then doing insert image, browse for the image and then insert it into the page and make it large, then print from there? That would be my suggestion. You could also use publisher and get the same result. Let me know if that helps.

I have some clip art of my own for sale but not owls, the items that I have made with the owls I purchased them and a license to use commercially in my products. They are not mine to sell alone. I have purchased owls from Jessica Weible, KPM Doodles, and Pixel Paper Prints on Etsy. So you can check those sites and their clip art to see which ones you like the best. Hope this helps.

Not really - you could import it as an iwb file, but it would just show up as slides and nothing would work correctly. I hope to have the Smartboard version done in a week or so. Just make sure that the Smart Notebook page is an entire image such as a jpg. To do this you can take a picture of the entire Notebook page with the camera in Smart Notebook and then use that picture as the page instead of just the clipart image by itself. With your end result, you shouldn't be able to just click on the clipart by itself and move it around. It should be incorporated into a full image or jpg. Hope this makes sense and helps. Thank you for asking.

I don't think you can use it , at least functionally without smart notebook and a smart board. Even if you hook your smart software up to another board, it will put a watermark on your screen without paying an extra license fee. This all started with notebook 11. It really irritates me that they did that. You could convert the file to an iWeb file, but it wouldn't have any functionally to it, it would me more of just a presentation that way.

I always thought that columns went up and down like on buildings and rows went across. That's how I usually teach it. I always give them credit for drawing the array either way though since the commutative property applies to multiplication as well as addition. Feel free to use the packet as you see fit and what works best for you.

Hello.... I do not believe that the smartboard file should be in a zip file. When we added the file it was just one file. The file should have a .notebook extension and be called something like 'division_with_remainders.notebook'. You may want to contact TPT if you are getting a zip file, because you should not be.
You need to have smart's software (called smart notebook) installed for this file to work. Please also make sure that you have the most updated version, version 11.

Unfortunately these files are specific to that software. I believe you can request a refund from TPT if you tell them you don't have the software to open it. I don't think Promethean offers a free version of their program, but I wish they would. We do have some Smart files for Smart Notebook also if you have that software.

Hi there,
Open the flipchart and go to one of the pages with a question. Go to edit and then question on current page and you can see the answer there. You can click on the green play button to start the voting with expressions or activotes. After the students vote, you can see the correct answer appear, it will turn green. If you don't have any type of voters, you can use whiteboards or another method and just refer to the answer by going to edit and question on current page to see the correct answer. Unfortunately this file will only open with Activinspire software from Promethean. I believe if you contact TPT they will give you a refund if you tell them you do not have that software. Also check with your school district because they may have a license for Activinspire for you to use.

Hi there,
I would try downloading the file again and saving it to your desktop. Then, open the file and try to print the pages after 51. I have checked the file and the entire file is there. If your computer is older, it may be a memory problem, and the computer may not be able to send that many pages to the printer at one time. Try clicking on pages and then typing 52-? and see if that works. I hope this helps.

Sbrachtenbach re: Learning to Tell Time SMART Notebook Lesson
I bought this because it says it teaches time to the minute but slides only go to the five minute. There is not a single slide or teaching bit about time to the minute. I am very disappointed. I bought it for that!

I just purchased your cute teacher friendly Kindergarten ELA Common Core Standards and noticed after printing that Reading for Informational Text was labeled with RL.K. instead of RI.K. Unfortunately the Promethean flipchart lessons really won't work in Smart Notebook. You could import it as an iwb file, but you would just get the images and the text, but none of the actions would work. I have Smart board lessons available, but currently I haven't made the pronouns one in a Smart version yet. You can keep checking back as I make more often. I hope this helps to answer your question.

Hi! Just checking back with you in regards to the file. I usually her back pretty quickly from TPT sellers. I see that you usually respond quickly so I thought maybe it was just an oversight. I didn't realize the word documents were imbedded in the flip chart. I am just looking for some guidance on how to transfer this part to my "printer" computer.

I have 2. I bought the LANDFORMS unit.
1. My ActiveInspire computer is not linked to a printer so I cant print the documnets in the flipchart/PP. Is there a way to save these documents and print them or could you send these to me in a file so I can have just the word documents seperate?
2. Some of the slides are cut off by the clip art. You cant see the ends of the words. Can you help me with this ASAP? I want to use this in an observation next week and right now it is not readable.

I can send you the files if you give me an email to send them to. That's no problem. To fix the words, just drag the text box to the right and they should all show up. Then save the file again. Let me know if that helps.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a National Board Certified Teacher and have taught elementary school for the past twelve years. I have taught many grade levels, but currently I teach 3rd. I started my own website in 2010 called www.AmazingClassroom.com after I was heartbroken at the fact that I wasn't hired for a job that I applied for at an interactive whiteboard company. I knew their software, knew their products, and thought I was the best person for the job. When a best friend of the person doing the hiring got the job, and knew nothing about the company, all hope was lost, or at least I thought. Later I realized that things work out for certain reasons even though we many not understand them at the time. Since then, my husband and I have started our own website for teachers, www.AmazingClassroom.com and I still get to teach and do the the job I love each and every day. I have no hard feelings and realize I am doing what I was meant to do. The website is growing each and every day and I couldn't be happier!
MY TEACHING STYLE
I do TONS of formative assessment and individualize instruction for each of my kiddos. I find that this has produced the best results and increased achievement in all areas, but especially reading and math. I don't waste any time teaching kids things they already know. Some students in my third grade class are working on multiplying three digit by two digit numbers while others are still learning their multiplication facts. I do this by using formative assessment to guide my instruction, and summative assessments to see what my students have learned. I also incorporate TONS of center activities and group work throughout the day so students can work together and learn together. I use a Promethean Activboard 500 Touch along with Activexpression 2's, an Activslate, and Activsound in my daily classroom instruction. I teach with a variety of Promethean flipchart lessons that I create for my students and also include on my AmazingClassroom site for other teachers.
