The end of the year foldables are made from about 25 different resources that support our 4th grade standards. I literally cut and taped the pages together before copying. Some of the best resources were Read 4 Today and Math 4 Today....Also the Mailbox/The Education Center was great to use.

I just opened the file and it shows correctly, per TPT sellers are to refer the buyer to TPT for technical or download issues. Please make sure that your adobe is upto date and try to redownload the item. That usually seems to solve any issues. If not let me know after you have contacted TPT. I am thinking that there may also me an issue due to the fact that the same question (from you) was posted three times.

I used those pages as well as some of the other ones (towards the end of the packet) to let the students write out their own examples (lined pages) and illustrate them. Inspired Teaching Today (TpT Seller) re: Adopting Scholarly Behavior Classroom Management Charts

Ok, let me try to clarify....
Student gov. is for those students that are able to monitor their own behavior...they are model students.
-When a student is doing their job and on task, I give them feedback (usually a couple of kids at a time) and have them circle on their chart....I found that this served as a reminder for me to provide positive feedback on a consistent on going basis. Â
-At end of week we tally their circled "x"s.
Teacher gov. is for those students that have behavior and organizational issues. The teacher must monitor and guide their behavior due to the poor choices they make.
-I usually have the student circle an "x" when I notice their undesired behavior.
-At the end of the week we tally the uncircled "x"s
-sometimes I would come by their desk without drawing any extra attention to their behavior and circle something myself.
Honestly, I really only have to resort to using this chart for the whole class maybe twice a year (at the beginning and when spring fever hits). Â I may opt to use the chart in a regular basis with a difficult student.....but I would make it clear to them, that when they walk through the door each morning, they have a chance to be self/student governed. Â If their day starts going bad, (they switch to teacher gov) then they will know what areas to focus on.....
You have to decide what will work best for you, the teacher next door to me, found that when using this whole class, she was having a hard time keeping up with giving that much feedback to everyone, so she just used it with struggling students and cut the page, only using the top portion.
Hope this helps a little.....it just comes down to your discipline style and what you prefer....
Student gov. is for those students that are able to monitor their own behavior...they are model students.
-When a student is doing their job and on task, I give them feedback (usually a couple of kids at a time) and have them circle on their chart....I found that this served as a reminder for me to provide positive feedback on a consistent on going basis. Â
-At end of week we tally their circled "x"s.
Teacher gov. is for those students that have behavior and organizational issues. The teacher must monitor and guide their behavior due to the poor choices they make.
-I usually have the student circle an "x" when I notice their undesired behavior.
-At the end of the week we tally the uncircled "x"s
-sometimes I would come by their desk without drawing any extra attention to their behavior and circle something myself.
Honestly, I really only have to resort to using this chart for the whole class maybe twice a year (at the beginning and when spring fever hits). Â I may opt to use the chart in a regular basis with a difficult student.....but I would make it clear to them, that when they walk through the door each morning, they have a chance to be self/student governed. Â If their day starts going bad, (they switch to teacher gov) then they will know what areas to focus on.....
You have to decide what will work best for you, the teacher next door to me, found that when using this whole class, she was having a hard time keeping up with giving that much feedback to everyone, so she just used it with struggling students and cut the page, only using the top portion.
Hope this helps a little.....it just comes down to your discipline style and what you prefer....

I just bought the Adopting Scholarly behavior classroom management charts and it looks great!
Can you clarify for me the circling of the x's. Do the students circle the x if for example they are not paying attention or when they do pay attention? Do they have the teacher and student governed parts on their desk or just the student governed part? When do you have them use the student governed part? I'm asking because at the end with the percentiles for the week it seems earning circles is the goal or is it not earning circles? and is the final grade based on the teacher assessment or the student?
If you could send me a full description of how you use this that would be great!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been working as an educator for the last 16 years. I am currently a 4th grade teacher at Burton Elementary School. During my career, I have taught grades k-6.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My focus is.....teaching beyond the test!! I have found that many students have become very skilled at taking tests, but are unable to think independantly beyond that....I am to make sure that students leaving my class can!! I am pretty straight forward in the classroom. I enjoy taking the old and making it new. I achieve this through creating or tweaking materials to meet my student's needs.
